"Crap!"

Sheba ducks as the infected man's tongue lashes at her. Sam slams his club at him, sending him into his buddies. Jon pulls out a knife and hits a infected in the nose. They run after them in the soccer field, Sheba ducking as several of them start to jump, and when I mean jump I mean super jump. One tackles Sam and a bunch gather around him. He punches his way through, breaking bones and cracking skulls.

He gets up and doesn't even wipe the blood off of him as five of them start running after him. They were dividing up into groups now and Sheba knew she couldn't fight all of them in their groups. Jon sets his arrow on fire and shoots several at the groups. Some were hit but others kept going. Sam and Sheba look as Jon stops running. He looks at them and gives them, the look. The fight-for-all-look. Sheba and Sam stop and turns around.

The infected continue to run and Sam shouts in glory and honor. He races towards them and slams his club down. Jon follows him and arrows fly. Sheba pulls out her qama and duck as an infected swipes at her. She plunges a knife in its gut and moves it around. She pulls it out and drop kicks another one. She then sends her qama into the infected's face.

"I'm so, so sorry," says Sheba as she watches the infected go down.

Jon slides between two infected and sends two arrows into their brain. They go down and he stabs a arrow into another one's eye. The creature screeches and pulls it out, clearly angry. Sam swings his club, hitting several at once. Little kids jump on him and he carefully pulls them off. They come back and Sam knocks them out.

He swings his club up and knocks a older creature down. Sam sees one of the infected face slowly dropping off, revealing two large compound eyes and a splitting mouth. Sam runs and tackles it but the thing picks up Sam and grips his throat.

"D-d-descendant," says the monster.

Sam grips its hand and tries to pry his fingers off of him, but its grip is too tight. Jon tries to help him but several of the creatures stop in front of him and spit globs from their mouths. He backs up as the grass decays from the acid.

"Watch out Sheba," shouts Jon.

Sheba is struggling with a female infected and she is overcoming her. Too strong, thinks Sheba as she bends down with one knee. The infected grins and it mouth splits open revealing its tongue. The tongue snaps at Sheba who looks away. Saliva drips from its mouth. Sheba lets go and sends her qama into her hard. She wipes off the saliva and sends its head spinning from its head.

She yells in anguish and lays down. Jon backs towards her and helps her up. Sam breaks the creature's hands and kicks it hard in the face. It loosens its grip but doesn't let go. Sam's energy is slowly seeping away as Jon and Sheba are trying to reach him.

Jon's bomb arrow hits the creature, blowing up half of its face. The creature turns its head towards Jon who begins to hit it again. The creature lets go and leaps towards Jon who pulls out his sword. The creature knocks the swords away and throws him 10 feet away from him. Sheba sends a knife into its leg, dark green seeping out. The creature tries to backhand her,  but she ducks her head and wraps her arms around his neck.

Jon gets up and pulls out a special arrow. "Sheba and Sam, close your eyes."

The creature tries to get its hands on Sheba but she continues to hold on. Sam rubs his neck and watches as the infected gets closer. Jon raises his bow and shoots the arrow into the sky. Bright light fills the sky, blinding the creatures. Jon helps up Sheba who fall from the creature's back and they found Sam, slowly standing up.

The creatures screech in pain as they struggle to see. Sam, Jon, and Sheba slowly get away from the crowd and hide among several houses.

"Never again will I fight them," pants Sam as he struggles to breath.

"But we have no choice. We're in their territory."

Jon looks at Sheba who shrugs her shoulders. "That's what it looks like right now."

"Well there is no way to contact Joshua. We lost our phones back with the van. We're sitting ducks out here."

Sheba throws her hands in frustration. "There's no way we can go through that again Jon. We need a plan to keep ourselves from having to fight them."

"Well keeping them safe isn't going to help, replies Sam. "Killing is the only way right now."

Sheba looks at him and then at Jon who nods. "Sadly that's the only solution we have right now. If you have a different solution, please say it."

Sheba doesn't reply. She sighs and sits down. She pulls out a water bottle from her bag and takes huge gulps as she realizes how tired she is.
