I woke up in the nurses room. White. The room was white. The nurse had on a blue scrub, and her brown hair in a ponytail.
" Are you okay, sweetie? Don't sit up too fast, you can get whiplash." She came over to me and handed me a orange substance in a plastic cup.
" Orange Juice, to help get your mind at ease." I felt my head, noticing it was bandaged.
" M-my head." I whispered.
" You did quite some damage to it, you moms on her way to take you to the hospital for a better diagnosis. Ur lucky you didn't faint on the pointed poll holding the history sign, which your were very close to."
I sipped the orange juice.
Why did I faint? I've never fainted before. It must have been everything that's overwhelming me right now. Yeah, just that.
The patter of footsteps make their was towards the room I was in.
" Oh my god!" My mother freaked out. She started asking questions, questions the nurse didn't have answers to.
" You let her sleep? She could have a concussion! Come on, Liah, were going to the hospital."
She helped me up and balanced me all the way to the car.
I was insane for for going along with this. Not Greyson, but letting my mother take me to the hospital, where I would be pushed to the limit; pushed to the limit to open my yap about Greyson and his murderous intentions.
The doctor took me immediately.
" What seems to be the problem?" The nurse asked, taking my arm and strapping it to a machine.
" She fainted and hit her head." My mother spoke, concerned. She seemed more concerned about how much money this Hospital visit would cost her.
Hours went by, switching between rooms, drinking various liquids and filling out paperwork.
I didn't have a concussion, but I could have if I landed the wrong way.
My mom doesn't seem to care about anything anymore. She used to be so endowed in what my grades were, and how many people loved me, but not anymore; she moved past all that, she only cares about her dumb bank job and how many people compliment her on her Michael Kors handbag.
" Honey, you need to rest, go on the couch and lay down." She spoke, almost blank.
" Okay uncaring mother." I hissed.
She glared at me, showing her inner demon. A dark facial expression bellowed onto her.
" I don't care? I don't care! Yes, I care about you, what is your problem anyway? You've been upset and morbid since we moved here!" She yelled, but then tried to lower her voice. Uncaring mothers that love all the fancy and bling in the world do that.
" It's Anna, isn't it? She's a bad influence on you. You not going to hangout with her anymore." She spoke, biting her nails.
" You really think this is about Anna, huh? Well, mom, my problem is you. You have been so stuck up your own ass since you got that banking job, and I don't like it."
The sudden sting of a slap hit me across the face. I closed my eyes.
" You bitch." I ran upstairs and locked the door. Tears began streaming down my eyes.
She slapped me, because I spoke the truth? I'm too old to be slapped, or yelled at for that matter. I'll run away, no she'd like that. I'll stab myself and say it was her. Wait, no, there would be evidence it was me. I know, I'll get her fired. Ugh, I can't do that either, then we will have to move somewhere else.
I sat on my bed, the warmth of my rosy cheeks comforting me. My eyes were swollen from crying, my head hurt worse, and it sucked not having Greyson here to do anything. He'd kill her. He would slice her neck open and show a beautiful carving of skin and flesh oozing from her insides. He could grab her when shes about to sleep, and pull her into the closet, he could jab her numerous times with a blade so sharp, she won't feel it until he begins playing around like he's mixing cake batter together. Her stomach would look like a giant Play-doh mess.
I sighed, feeling my head. She won't apologize. I'll have to show her that an apology is needed. Starting with playing the damsel in distress.
