I walked around the house for a minute, in panic. What am I gonna do?
I have no car to get there, I can't walk because his house is too far, and no phone. Oh god. Their gonna hurt him! What if they succeed with their stupid little plan? What if they don't and Greyson blames me? WAIT.
I run over to the neighbors house, and knock rapidly on their door.
" Hello?" The old women asks, holding a Peoples Magazine in her hand, the smell of Hazelnut tea fermenting on her purple blouse.
" Hi, can I use your telephone please? It's an emergency."
" Yes of course, come on in." She points to where the phone is, and I quickly dial Greyson's number.
" Who is this?" A sharp, raspy voice answers.
" Greyson! Can you pick me up please hurry!" I yell into the phone.
" Okay." He hangs up.
I thank the lady and run out the door, sitting on my front porch.
10 minutes pass and a black pickup truck pulls into my driveway. I hop in, buckling my seat belt.
" What's the problem?" Greyson asks, eyes on the road.
" It's Turner, his friends plan on burning your house down, with you in it."
Greyson doesn't speak.
" Do you not care?!" I yell at him.
" You don't think I already know? I know everything, Liah. I was wondering when you were gonna call and say something. We will wait outside for them, they will most likely come when it gets dark."
The sun was already setting. What if they're there right now? I know this isn't going to be good.
We arrived at Greyson's house, Turner and friends nowhere in sight.
He grabbed my hand, pulling to to the back of the truck.
" Let's watch the sun go down." He spoke.
" Okay."
The sun glistened in the sky, the clouds turning a pinkish orange color, the sky becoming darker and darker every second.
" Do you think Turner is actually gonna do it?" I asked him.
" Turner is tough, I give him that, but I don't think he would do anything like that. Victoria reminds him not to everyday. She was so gentle, and sweet."
He faced towards me.
" She taught him not to do things like that. That's his weakness. So no, I don't think he's gonna burn my house down."
" Would you do it?" I whisper.
" I think we both know the answer to that." He ran his fingers through his hair.
I let his words drift away as night dawned upon us. No sign of Turner. Maybe Greyson's right.
I hear a faint rustle in the distance, oh no.
Turner, Parker, and 4 other guys who seemed of the same crowd walked up to the driveway.
" Liah, I thought Scott told you to stay at home."
" I'm not gonna let you hurt him." I spoke.
" Two wrongs don't make a right! And what your about to do is a big mistake!"
Turner glared at Greyson, like my words didn't even phase him.
I can't do anything. They are just gonna do it. Greyson is gonna get hurt, and I'm gonna be left to watch. Wait, Turner didn't come here to burn Greyson's house down. He must have came to do something else.
" Alright, Greyson. Leave town, or we'll make you. "
Turner took out a match. He's just threatening, he won't do it.
One of the boys with him took out a gas can.
" I'm not leaving, Turner. You need to leave." Greyson spoke softly.
" I need to leave? Ha, your a disease! Nobody wants you here! Your a horrible person! You need to die!" Turner yelled, lighting the match.
" Turner!" I yell, hoping he will realize this is stupid and go home.
" Do it, I dare you." Greyson smirked. He was egging Turner on, and Greyson was enjoying every bit of it.
One of the guys poured gasoline leading up to Greyson's house.
" Go on, throw the match kid." Greyson teased.
" You want me to? Fine!" Turner threw the match onto the gasoline, fire building to to where we stood. Greyson quickly picked me up and took me to the end of the driveway.
I watched as fire spread throughout the house.
" Turner your crazy!" I screamed.
" He asked for it!" Turned chuckled, watching the vibrant colors of red and orange spread across the house.
" You know, I've been meaning to get rid of all those letters regarding Victoria, you really helped me out there." Greyson smiled towards Turner.
" What did you do." Turner whispered. Suddenly, Turners fist came in contact with Greyson's face, causing me to fall to the ground, skinning my knee.
Greyson was being punched viciously, but was only staring at me.
Suddenly, Greyson grabbed Turner by his throat, causing Turner to fidget.
" Greyson stop! Please!" I knew what Greyson was gonna do.
I know I have to get between them, or Greyson won't stop.
I get off the ground, running forward Greyson, pushing Turner out of the way, and latching onto Greyson, pushing him to the ground. His face was coated in blood, his lip swollen.
I hug him tight, still trying to keep him on the ground.
" I knew you still were friends with him!" Turner yelled.
Firetruck sirens sounded in the distance. Turner and his "boys" ran.
I felt the tears begin to swell up in my eyes.
" Why did you-" I pressed my lips against his. I held his face tight, moving my lips in sync with his.
He held me tight, blood trickling onto the ground.
I never thought I'd actually kiss Greyson. His eyes turned to look at mine, those golden eyes, blood coating the eyelids, some blood beginning to trickle into his eye sockets.
" You have my blood on your lips." He whispered.
" I know." I spoke back.
Greyson got up, grabbing me for balance.
" You have to leave, trust me, I have this under control." He said.
" Greys-"
" Fucking go now." He growled.
I turned and ran down the street, Greyson's and Turner's blood stained onto my clothes and face. Where am I even going?
I walked and eventually found a gas station.
I was greeted by a middle aged women and the register.
" Are you okay?" She asked, worried.
" Yes, can I use your phone please?" I asked quietly.
She nodded and handed me a telephone.
I dialed Anna's number/
" Hello?" Anna asked.
" Anna, it's Liah. Can you come pick me up please?"
" Yeah, are you okay?"
" Yes, I'm fine, just, please hurry, I'm at the Centra gas station that's by Riddler's Pawn Shop."
" Okay, I'm on my way."
