Leelo runs alongside him, and they skid to a stop, infront of them, a seventy five foot drop.
"I can't do this.." Mark mumbles, looking to Leelo. A psychotic laugh rings over the city.
"You can't escape this, it's all over now.. Just give in.. Let us win.." It cackles.
"It's not like you can stop me or them, we rule the city, and now, the world.." The raspy voice of Drazna growls, as the last of the trapped citizens topple to the ground. Mark and Leelo turn, loud moans and screeches echo behind them from the gates.
"Well great." Mark snaps, he looks behind him, a rope ladder draped over the side of the platform.
"Leelo we need to get down, follow me." He sighs, getting onto the ladder and beginning to make his way down.
"What's Drazna's problem? Did she let the wealth and power get to her head?" Leelo remarks, following above Mark. The moans continue to grow louder. A helicopter takes off, a fish-net like containment bag hangs off the bottom, seemingly full of people, but their flesh seems pale, and they screech loudly, their faces and skin peeling and gurgling. Soon, more copters follow, all carrying the same cargo.
"Ugh, I don't know, but those people look horrid." He says, reaching the bottom of the ladder and extending his arms to help Leelo. Grabbing her, he sets her down gently into the soft grass. Screeches and screams come from the platform, as the pale people look down to them, screaming at the sight of Mark and Leelo.
"What the hell is wrong with them? Did they get AIDs or somethin'?" Leelo furrows her brow, pointing up.
"I don't know.." Mark rips a metal pole from its place beneath the tree, handing it to Leelo before grabbing another for himself.
"But we need to have protection from whatever they are." He sighs, one of the screamers jumping, flying through the air and colliding with the ground. A snap fills the air, and it screeches violently, looking to the two. Its eyes pure black, empty. Its arms and legs flail and struggle. Opening its mouth, the bottom jaw peels and gurgles, slowly ripping off and dangling, as black blood dribbles from it. Mark steps back, pulling Leelo, who was inching closer to the creature, with him.
"Disgusting." Mark cringes, the awful smell of rotting meat and flesh emits from the person-like animal. He takes a careful step forward, before jabbing the sharp metal pol into its head, spewing black blood everywhere.
"Well then, how about we move out.." Leelo says, turning g Mark around and beginning to walk.
