Zoe's P.O.V
After the 18 hour flight, we finally made it home. It was now 12:28am in Brighton and I needed to drop Alfie off at his house.
"I had an awesome time." I smile.
"So did I. Bye I'll see you soon." He replies and pecks my lips. I drive back to my Mum's house and quietly unlock the door. I set my stuff down and head upstairs to the spare bedroom where the kids always slept. I stand by the door for awhile, watching the two of them peacefully sleeping while being snuggled up with their bears and blankies. Eventually, I finish my night routine and join them on the massive king sized bed. I kiss both of their cheeks and get settled in between them. I check Instagram, and Twitter for awhile but then Melody and Mason both turn over and cuddle me. I smile then turn off my phone and drift off into sleep.*Hours Later*
I wake up to the sunlight in my face. The kids were still sleeping so I just texted Alfie and Louise to see how they were doing. Soon, Melody starts to wake up.
"Hey there missy." I cheer.
"MUMMY!!" She shouts while cuddling closer to me. Mason wakes up, startled from the screaming.
"MUMMY!!" He then screams hugging tight onto me.
"Morning my little munchkins..." I giggle kissing their heads. "Did you miss me?" I start. They both furiously shake their heads.
"I'm sorry I was gone for so long. Did you behave for Nan?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
"Yes," they smile.
"Did Mummy miss us?" Mason questions.
"More than the whole world." I reply.
"Next time can we go too?" Melody begs.
"Maybe" I respond. Mason sees the TV remote and looks over at me.
"Can we watch TV please?" Mason begs.
"Yeah can we please?" Melody joins.
"Alright only for awhile then we got to eat. After we leave Nan's, we'll go to Marks and Spencer and get some stuff for dinner. Your favorite, spaghetti." I conclude.
"Yay! Can Aunt Tanya and Uncle Jim come over too?" Melody begs.
"I'll call them and ask later." I smile.
We turn on the TV and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
"Come on then, let's go get you dressed." I inform. I put Melody in a yellow dress with bicycles on it, a pair of blacks shoes, and a ballerina bun. Mason wore a green flannel t-shirt, brown shorts, and brown sandals.
"Alright then, let's go have breakfast." I instruct grabbing both of their hands. I set them down at the table and gave them yogurt with fruit.
"Morning Zoe." Mum greets.
"Hi Mum, thanks for taking the kids for the week." I reply.
"No problem, I like spending time with my grandkids. How was America?" She smiles.
"It was amazing. Alfie and I had a great time. However, it was hot as hell. Ellen was so surreal and the YouTube Summer event was a total blast. But I missed my little babies. I'm planning on taking the kids sometime. They'll love it there." I answer.
"Glad you had fun. It's almost the kids birthday already," she smiles.
"I know they're already turning 4! One more year then they'll be in primary school." I frown.
"Time flies. You know you will need to tell Alfie about them soon, right?" She sighs.
"I know but I don't want to put too much on them. They've only ever had one parent and adding another one isn't going to be easy. Who knows along the way, we won't even be together anymore and the kids might've gotten attached. It's just...." I ramble.
"Look, Zoe. I know it's going to be hard but they're tough kids. Alfie is a good guy, I'm sure he'll understand your thinking. I'm not asking you to tell him now but consider telling him soon. Alright?" She smiles.
"I'll think about it." I reply pulling her into a hug. "Thanks Mum," we finish our breakfast and head to Marks and Spencer. We grab all the ingredients headed home.
"Okay you two go into your room and clean up your clothes from Nan's. I'll be up soon and then you two need to practice. Okay?" I ask. They nod and run upstairs. The house is two stories but we use the attic as well. On the bottom floor was the kitchen, living room, and two guest rooms. The next floor had my room, my office, and the kids' little "gym" which took up a huge chunk of it. I wasn't using the attic so I made it into another floor for them. Their room ,which was the biggest, has a connecting bathroom, a little set of stairs that led up to it, and a Dutch door.
"Okay Mummy, I'm ready." Melody smiles. I head upstairs to their gym and spot her while Mason practiced his drills and kicks. After practices, I tuck them in for their afternoon nap. Once they've fallen asleep, I lock the bottom part of the door, and got some work done. About halfway through editing a video, I hear the doorbell ring.
"Hey gorgeous. I brought you cakes." Alfie beams. I panic but quickly shake it off as I remember the kids were asleep and won't be up for another hour.
"Thank you." I smile kissing his lips. He heads inside the house and helps me finish my editing. Soon, I hear footsteps and the TV go off.
"What the hell was that?" He asks.
"Um nothing.... Oh shit it's already 5? I was meant to be at my Mum's twenty minutes ago. Sorry I gotta go. Thanks for the amazing cakes handsome and I'll call you when I get back home." I lie escorting him out of the house.
"Okay then. Bye Zoe." He mutters while kissing my lips and walks out . I quickly shut the door and sigh with relief.Hoped you guys like chapter 2 and again if you have any ideas/suggestions, please comment them. I tried my best to resemble Zoe's style but I'm not sure if that worked. Anyways, have a lovely day and thanks for reading. Bye!
