*two days later*
Alfie's P.O.V
Today is the day where Marcus is picking up the kids. All morning Zoe has been in a frenzy. Cleaning things here and there, adding things to the kids' bags, talking to Angela. She's gone absolutely stressed.
"Zoe calm down, the kids have their iPods. They know how to FaceTime it's alright," I ease.
"What if they don't have Internet?" she argues.
"Stop worrying," I conclude.
"I don't know what he will do to them or what will happen," she cries.
"Hey come here," I coo. I hold her for awhile until she seem to calm down a bit.
"Look at me... They'll be fine. He won't do anything to them, he can't," I remind. She nods and I peck her lips. I walk up to the kids' room and tell them things to remember.
"Okay remember you have to ask for wifi and FaceTime Mummy and me before you go to bed. Got it?" I conclude.
"Okay Alfie," they reply.
"Good," I smile. I double check their bags and made sure they've gotten everything.

Zoe's P.O.V
The door bell rang and it was time. There is no way I'm losing this case, just the thought of them being gone for two days is already making me go insane. Alfie gets the door and lets him in. The kids come running from the living room and got less excited when they met face to face with Marcus. Their faces almost looked scared. They look over at Alfie and he gave them a reassuring smile.
"Okay well I got to get going so," Marcus starts. I kneel down to the kids' height and hug them both.
"Mummy I don't want to go," Mel whispers, as she's hugging me.
"You'll be fine, when ever you get scared, FaceTime me and I'll sing you a song. Doesn't matter what time just call alright? " I cheer. She nods and gives me another hug.
"That's my princess," I smile, kissing her cheek.
"Bye Mason, behave alright. Watch Mel for me okay?" I kiss.
"Okay, love you Mummy," he smiles.
"Love you more," I hug. I lead them out and pull Marcus back for a second.
"I swear if you do anything to them I will make your life so miserable a cell will feel like Hawaii ," I scold.
"Don't worry, Mama bear," he smirks. I can't stand him. They make their way out and into the car. I wave bye to them as the car starts moving. Alfie wraps his arms around me and walks us back inside.
"Why did they look at you like that earlier?" I ask.
"The night you and Marcus were having a screaming match, the kids were just sitting at the top of the staircase, listening to everything," he reveals.
"I knew I should've lead them all the way up myself," I sigh.
"Don't beat yourself up, it's over now," he assures.

Melody's P.O.V
I don't like him. Last time he was yelling at Mummy and was really mean. He took us out to the lanes and I started to feel antsy.
"Do you want some ice cream?" He offers. I shake my head and continue walking. When we got home, I felt anxious and Mason got the wifi passwords for us, as I hid in our room. I shut the door and talk to Mason.
"I don't like Daddy," I whisper.
"Why?" Mason asks, handing me my iPod.
"He mean," I reply.
"It's okay, I'm here," Mason smiles. We both pull out our iPods and start playing Fruit Ninja.
"Ready... Set.. Go!" I shout. I wanted to win this time. Mason always beats me and it's not fair. There's a knock on the door and I start getting scared again.
"Time to eat," Daddy informs.
"I'm not hungry," I whisper.
"Speak up," he instructs, making me feel worse.
"I'm n...not h...ungry," I mumble.
"You need to eat," he scolds.
"But I'm not hungry," I cry.
"Why are you crying? Just go and eat," he repeats, dragging me outside. My tears just continue to flow as he sets me down at the table and shoves a plate in front of my face.
"Eat," he directs. Mason ate his whole sandwich and I didn't even take a bite.
"Why didn't you eat?" He scolds. I didn't answer and looked at my lap. He's really scaring me.
"Stop acting like that or else you will get in trouble," he demands. I was too scared to do anything.
"That's it...Your Mum did a crap job at raising you two," he shouts, turning the chair around, then slapping my face. My tears fell even harder and Mason came and gave me a hug. He took the plate and ran with me inside the room. I locked the door and call Mummy.

Marcus's P.O.V
These kids are absolutely disrespectful. They need me to shape them up. Melody refused to eat and she needed to. I slapped her to prove my point and she ran into the room with her brother. I chase them to the end of the hall but it was too late, they locked the door. I walk back to the kitchen and try to find the key to the room. To my surprise, I see Niomi standing right in front of me.
"What the hell Marcus? Don't go around hitting kids for no reason," she shouts.
"She wouldn't eat," I reply.
"That doesn't give you a reason to slap a kid across the face," she snaps. I ignore her comments and search for the keys.

Melody's P.O.V
I press the call button and Mason gave me a tissue. I see my face on the screen and it's really red on my cheek. I wipe off the tears and sniffle. It starts connecting and soon I see Mummy and Alfie.
"Hey baby- what happened?" Mummy concerns. Before I got to answer, the door knob starts to move around and he couldn't see me talking to Mummy.
"Bye," I end, hanging up the phone. Mummy was about to say something but I hung up too quickly. The door slowly swings open but it wasn't Daddy.

Niomi's P.O.V
Marcus is super forgetful, the key was in the hallway cabinet. I see Mel crying on the bed and I shut the door behind me.
"Nimbob," she smiles.
"Shhhh your okay," I coo. I couldn't leave them here like this, I need to bring them back home.
