This One-Shot is based off of Episode 23 & 24 of the first season of Durarara!!
If you havent seen those two episodes then there will be spoilers.

A trio of "Best Friends" , until something forced them to split up.

"But I wanna be the hero!" Your kindergarten self wined as you puffed your cheeks and stomped your foot onto the ground.

"But (N/N), Your a girl, and girl's are always the ones being saved!" Masaomi told you, setting his fake sword into the fort that the three of you had named 'The Dragon's cave'

"No, That's a lie!" You told him, "Mommy said that girls can be heroes too, ya'know!"

"Masaomi.. Just let her be the hero." Mikado said quietly, removing his dragon hood from his head

"Fine." Masaomi sighed as he looked to the side, "You can be the hero."

"Yay!" You smiled brightly as you ran out of the room, grabbing some other clothes and running into the bathroom so that you could change out of the horrid princess dress Masaomi made you put on. You waltzed out of the bathroom wearing everyday clothes, with a red blanket tied around your neck so it looked like you had a cape.

You walked into the room with the fort, smiling like a kid idiot as you sat down inside the fort, grabbing Masaomi's fake sword and almost knocking the fort down.

Masaomi & Mikado walked into the fort, Masaomi wearing the closest thing to what a prince wore, even though he only threw on some random clothes and made a 10-second paper crown.

Mikado, was wearing some regular clothes and had a black blanket tied around his neck, I guess he was supposed to be your sidekick.

"Ok," Masaomi began, "I'll be the prince, and you two, the hero and the sidekick, have to save me from the monster." He told the two of you as he pointed to the imaginary, fake monster.

"Yeah!" You and Mikado smiled, running out of the room so that you could start the game.

You and Mikado made your way around the house, Punching, kicking, slicing, mage-ing your way through the house as you defeated the Monster's minions. As you walked into the room with the Monster cave fort, you began to beat up the  Imaginary Monster guarding the cave Masaomi was being "Held Captive" In.

"Give back the prince!" You shouted as you finished the battle by stabbing the monster in it's stomach.

You smiled brightly, setting your sword down next to the entrance of the fort, extending out  a hand to Masaomi, "You alright, Prince Masaomi?"

Masaomi puffed his cheeks, looking to the side as he took your hand, "I guess.."

"Thats good," You smiled, pulling him up, "C'mon, let's go."

That was around 10 years ago.

Years.

Your 15 now, currently living in Ikebuuro. You grew up in the same area of Japan as Mikado and Masaomi, but had to move to America because your dad got a job there because he was a company owner starting up the company in various places there.

However, they allowed you to move back to Ikebukuro the year you were turning 15, and where you'd start a new year of school at No surprise, Raira Academy.
