"Don't you ever get tired of smiling?"
No.
"Why?"
A smile could mean a thousand things to some people.
"But does it mean something for you?"
Yes. It means happiness.
"So, you're basically saying that you're happy all the time?"
No. If I was happy all the time, then I wouldn't be a real person.
"Then why do you act like it?"
Act like what?
"Like you don't have problems at home."
That's the thing.
"What?"
I don't bring them with me. I leave them at home.
"But won't they bother you?"
I choose to not let them bother me.
"You're an optimistic person, then."
I guess I kind of am.
"That's kind of tiring."
Why?
"Because basically you think that everything's going to turn out fine when deep down you know it's never going to work."
You're idea of optimism isn't that optimistic at all.
"Maybe I'm just a natural born cynic."
No, you're not. The world has tainted you.
"What makes you say that?"
Because instead of looking at the glass as half-full, you consider it as half-empty.
