The bright sun shinning through my window burns my eyes when I first open them. What time is it? Eleven? twelve? I climb out of bed, walk to the bathroom, brush my hair, and brush my teeth. Josh is already awake. I can hear him in the kitchen, making a ton of noise. I wonder what he's doing as I walk down the steps and into the kitchen.

He turns around to face me, covered in pancake batter. "Looks like you've been busy this morning." I note, looking around the kitchen at the mess he's made. Ava smacks her hands against her high chair and screams, demanding my attention. "Hi, baby." I grab her hands and hold them, making her giggle. "She's been up since four so she's a little cranky." Josh warns me, making me frown. "We're you up at four?" I ask, turning to him, still holding her hands. It's normal for her to be up at strange hours, but not him. "Uh...yeah. I just woke up and I couldn't go back to sleep so I stayed with her." He says, starting to clean up the mess he's made in the kitchen. "Oh, Josh. You should get some sleep. I can watch her." I offer, although I don't really want to. I like having Josh's help taking care of her. "It's fine. I'd much rather spend the day with you two." He wipes off the table and himself. "So, what's all this about?" I glance at the breakfast he's made. There's pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns. "I wanted to make you breakfast." He explains, taking his dirty shirt off. "but why is there so much?" I ask. I can see he's confused by my question. "I don't know.... I just wanted to make you pancakes then I thought why not just make everything." I laugh, at his confusion. "Oh, sweetie. You really need some sleep." He laughs too. "I'm fine, really. I'm wide awake now." I nod, agreeing with him. "Okay. But tonight you're going to bed early and when Ava wakes up you have to let me get her and stay asleep." I say. "Okay. Now, you wanna eat some breakfast or not?" I get up and grab a plate putting some of everything on it. I sit down at the table and eat my breakfast smiling at Josh as he sits down. "This is really good." I take another bite. He should cook sleep-deprived more often.

After we both get dressed and ready for the day I put Ava in her car seat and take her outside. I set her down in the shade and let her sleep while Josh gets the basketball out. "I'll go easy on you since you're pregnant." He smirks at me, handing me the ball. "Not too easy, hutcherson. I'm only three months." I say. "Alright. Let's do this." I pass the ball to him, allowing him to start.

I throw the ball and it goes through the basket, making me the winner. "Yes! I won!" I scream, making Josh laugh. He picks up the ball and holds it. "Yes, you won." He smiles at me. "So, what's my prize?" I ask, looking him up and down. "Whatever you want it to be." He takes a step closer to me. "Hmm....I want you." I breathe, moving closer to him. "Come and get me then." He smirks at me. I lean in and kiss him, quick and messy on the lips.

I put Ava in her bed and wrap a blanket around her, then I shut her door and walk down the stairs. I find Josh lying on the couch looking up at me as I walk into the living room. "She's asleep." I tell him, climbing on top of him. I sit with my legs on both sides of him and lean in and kiss him. He kisses me back, soft at first, but then rougher. I run my fingers through his hair and pull away, still blushing from our kiss. I smile at him before slowly pulling his shirt up. We're both still hot and sweaty from our basketball game. I throw his shirt on the floor and lean in and kiss him, not bothering to hold myself up I let my body fall on his. I climb off him, only to undress myself. I pull my shirt and pants off as fast as I can and he pulls his pants off too seeming to mirror my urgency. I climb back on him and kiss him harder this time, rubbing my body up against his.

I moan, as he pulls away from me. "Fuck Josh." I whine, my body aching from the exertion. He lays on top of me, the blanket from the side of the couch draped over us. After a while of us laying there together I hear Ava start to cry. "I'll go get her." I sigh, getting up. I get dressed in my underwear and t-shirt, and Josh puts his on too. I tiptoe up the steps, my legs aching, into Ava's room. "Shh...it's okay." I pick her up and hold her against my chest. I carry her with me downstairs and into the kitchen. I make her a bottle and take her back upstairs. She didn't take a very long nap and is probably still tired. I put her back in her crib and give her her bottle. Then I wrap her up in her blanket and walk out, closing the door behind me.

Josh glances at me as I curl up next to him in our bed. I kiss his chest before I lay my head down on it. He wraps an arm around me, his hand resting on my butt, and I smile. "I love you Joshy." I say. "Love you too." He mumbles sleepily. I watch him fall asleep, smiling at his peaceful face. I wish I could watch him sleep forever.
