Chapter 17

(Josh)

I pick up my phone, dial Liam's number, and call him. "Hey, Josh. What's up?" He seems surprised that I called. Which I guess he should be, I don't call him often. We're not as close as some of the rest of the cast members were. "Jen and I are trying to get some of our friends to come over for dinner tonight and she wanted you to come." I explain. He accepts and I quickly move on to calling Sam.

Once I've finished calling everyone, I check the time. It's almost time for Jens brother to get here to pick up Ava. He's babysitting for the weekend so we can have some alone time. Alone time, just the two of us, alone in the kitchen, Jennifer naked. My thoughts drift off at the sound of her voice. "Josh! What the hell? I've been saying your name for like five minutes now. Do you want me to wait for Blaine or not?" She's dressed in a white blouse and ripped jeans. "What?" I still feel dazed. "I'm gonna go buy some stuff for tonight. Do you want me to wait with you for Blaine?" She's wearing a grey beanie too. "No that's fine. I've got this. Go do your shopping and stuff." She looks so cute when she's mad at me. "Okay, I'll be back soon." She grabs the keys and walks out.

I walk outside with Blaine and I give him Ava's bag and he puts it in the car with Ava. "So this is everything?" Blaine asks checking over the bag. "Yeah, Jen packed it this morning." I step away from the car starting to get closer to the house. "I'll see you Sunday then." He gets in his car and drives off.

Jennifer runs to the door when the doorbell rings. "Hey!" She hugs Jena. She leads her to the kitchen and I go into the living room. I sit on the couch and watch tv while we wait for the rest of our friends to show up.

I take my plate with me into the living room and sit down on the couch. We ordered pizza, but we also have various snacks and wine in the kitchen. Jennifer sits down next to me only a few seconds later. Liam, Kassidy, Sam, Laura, and Jena all follow us and sit down. Sam and Laura sit on the couch with us, Jena sits in the chair and Liam and Kassidy sit on the floor. "You guys can bring chairs in here you don't have to sit on the floor." Kassidy lays down with her head in Liam's lap. "We're fine." He says, they look happy together. Jennifer's not even looking at me, she's busy talking animatedly with Sam. I try not to let it bother me how much happier they look. We're married and they've only been dating for a few months, were much closer. "So Jena, are you seeing anyone?" I ask, trying to make conversation. "Yeah, actually I am. It's not very serious though we've only been on a few dates." She takes a drink of her wine. I suddenly realize how strange we would look to others, eating pizza off paper plates and drinking fancy wine out of wine glasses. "How'd you guys meet?" In genuinely curious now, I've never met anyone she was dating, but I think she did have a thing for sam for a while. "At a concert actually. I was performing for a small festival type thing and she just came up to me right after we were done and asked me to go get drinks and turns out we really hit it off." She explains. "That's cool." I look around and no one seems to notice us talking except for Laura.

A few bottles of wine later were all drunk, Jen the most. I don't think anyone's plate ended up in the trash it looks like they're all just sitting around the kitchen along with most of the empty glasses. I return to the living room empty handed. "Sorry that's the last of it." I tell Jen and she gives me a pouty face. "I know! We should play spin the bottle!" Jennifer jumps up as she says it, spilling her drink on herself. I laugh and sit back down in my spot. "Okay." Liam mumbles laughing drunkenly, causing the rest of us to laugh too. "Okay let's do it. Everyone get on the floor." Jen points to the floor and sits down on the floor, nearly spilling what's left of her drink. I follow her and sit down and so does Sam, Laura and Jena. "Somebody move the table." I look at the small coffee table in front of us. "I'll get it." I get up and move the table, then sit back down. "Someone give me a bottle." She orders holding her hand out. I place the bottle in her hand and she sets it in the middle of us. We're in a sloppy circle but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one sober enough to care at this point. She spins the bottle and it lands with one end pointing to Liam and the other one pointing to Jenna. They kiss and then Jena quickly puts the bottle back in place and spins it. It lands on Jen now and I look to where the other end is pointing, it's Kassidy. Jen giggles and crawls across the floor to Kassidy. She grabs kassidys face and kisses her and I can see their tongues moving as they make out. It lasts for about a minute and a half and then they stop. "Wow she is a good kisser." Kassidy leans back up against Liam and Jen giggles crawling back over to me. She spins it again and it ands with one end on Sam and the other on Laura. They kiss and everyone awes except me who's looking out the window at the car lights. I laugh at how they move across the window. Sam spins the bottle and it lands back on him with the other end pointing to me. "Come over here Joshy!" Sam laughs. I crawl over to him and we kiss. I feel the blush creeping across my cheeks as the kiss seems to get longer. He wraps his arms around me, then quickly pulls away ending it. "Wow, I understand why you married him now." I wink at Laura and go back to Jen. The games pretty much pointless now with Jennifer nearly passed out and Liam and Kassidy making out on the floor across from me. I look around at all my friends and smile. I never would've thought we could be this close even after filming is over.
