(Josh)
*3 months later*I open our dresser and pull out a couple pairs of shorts, then some of my socks and underwear. I shove them into my suitcase with my shirts. We decided it would be a good idea to get some time alone before the baby is born. "Jen, you want me to pack for you?" I yell. "Yeah! Make sure you pack my lotion!" She yells back from downstairs. As I zip up my suitcase I run through the list of things she might need. Lotion. I grab the lotion and throw it on the bed. What else? I walk into our bathroom. I grab her Toothbrush, toothpaste, facewash, makeup bag, hairbrush, and other toiletries. Then I walk back into our bedroom and throw everything on the bed. I open the closet and pull out a couple sundresses, and some shirts. Then I get her shorts, a skirt, and her bras and underwear from our dresser. She bought all new clothes for this trip, since she can't fit into most of her old summer clothes anyway. I throw them onto the bed and begin to neatly fold each piece of clothing, making a stack in her suitcase. I stop at one of the dresses, feeling the sheer fabric between my fingertips. I instantly proclaim this one as my favorite of all her dresses, except maybe the green one she wore to dinner once. I finish folding her clothes and check around the room one last time for something she might need, before walking downstairs.
I walk into the living room, carrying both of our suitcases, and find Jen sitting on the couch with my parents. I set our suitcases down next to the couch and sit down with them. I can't contain my laughter, watching Jennifer try to lick peanut butter off her cheek. "Here." I wipe it off with my finger and she licks it off. All she wants is peanut butter all the time. I swear we have at least twenty jars in the cabinet. "You guys are so cute!" My mom says, as Jennifer digs her fingers into the jar of peanut butter again. She's too preoccupied with her peanut butter to respond, so I do. "Thanks, mom." I say. Jennifer suddenly snaps back to reality long enough to mumble, "Yeah, thanks mom." Since we still have a while before we have to leave I get up and get my own snack. I walk into the kitchen and get a box of cookies. Then I carry them back into the living room and sit down, back in my spot next to Jennifer. I take a bite out of one of the cookies, taking the time to fully look at Jennifer. Her long blonde hair falls in curls down her back and her pretty blue eyes are nearly concealed by her eye lids as she stares down at her chest. I follow her gaze as she wipes a stray smudge of peanut butter off her chest, giving me an idea. While she's still looking down I break a piece off my cookie and throw it down her shirt. It lands perfectly between her breasts, but doesn't move down her shirt. She picks it up, amused by my failed attempt, and shrugs. "Thanks." She tosses it into her mouth and smiles innocently at me, seeming oblivious to my parents laughter.
We place our suitcases in the car and Jen kisses Ava's forehead, before handing her off to my parents. She hops into the passenger seat of the car and waves to my parents, smiling brightly at me as I get in the car. "Ready?" I ask, starting the car and buckling my seat belt. "Mmhm..." She nods, turning the radio up. I press on the gas pedal and the car buzzes to life.
I pull into the parking lot and park in one of the available spots in the front row, making sure we're as close as possible to the door, so Jennifer doesn't have to walk very far. We get out of the car and I open the door to the back seat. I pull my suit case out, close the door, then make my way to the other side of the car to get Jennifer's suitcase, but she's already holding it. "I've got it." I tell her, trying to take it from her. "No. It's okay. I can carry it." She argues. "Just let me carry it, Jen." I hold my hand out. "If you insist." She rolls her eyes, but I can see a hint of a smile on her face, as she hands it to me.
I swipe the card, opening the hotel door, and hold the door open for her, allowing her to walk in before me. "You know you're being extra sweet tonight and it's kinda creeping me out." She smiles, running her hand along the bed. "Can't I be nice to you without it meaning something?" I ask, setting our stuff down and joining her by the bed. "I guess so. But I was kinda hoping it might mean something.." She bites her lip, making me freeze for a moment. I sit down on the bed, wrapping an arm around her waist. I pull her closer to me and kiss her. "It did mean something....That I love you." She tries kissing me, but her smile quickly breaks the kiss. Her fingers find the edges of her shirt and she starts to pull it up when I stop her, pressing my hand onto hers. "Let's have dinner first." She nods, pulling me in for another kiss.
A/N: my little joshifer heart can't take this.
