Chapter 16

Chapter 16:

I finish drying my hair and put it up In a messy bun. I put on some tan eye shadow and mascara, then I race downstairs to find Josh. "Ready to go?" He asks as I approach the couch. "Yeah." I say, watching him put Ava's bottle in the cup holder on her stroller. I smile at her and sit down on the edge of the couch.

We walk to the pet store and I walk in, holding the door open for Josh and Ava. I immediately walk to the back, where they keep the dogs. "Ava look at this one!" I point to a cage with two small Siberian husky puppies. She smiles and so do I. I stick my hand through the bars of the cage and pet them. "Josh? Do you like them?" I ask looking up at them. They're the cutest puppies I have ever seen. "Yeah." He crouches down to pet them too. "Should we get them? They're both girls." I ask reading the paper taped to their cage. "Yeah, if you want them lets get them." He says getting up and attending to Ava.

I find my way to the front of the store and get a cart, then I go to the dog isle and get dog food, two carriers, food bowls and water bowls, treats, toys, and collars. I then find the worker and she helps me get the dogs out and put them in the carriers. Josh follows me to the checkout and we pay. "We should've brought the car." He says as we start walking down the street to our car. "It's okay, I got it." I carry both the dog carriers and he puts the rest of the stuff in Ava's stroller.

We arrive home and I unpack the dogs things, get them food and water, and get them out of their carriers. They explore the new house together while I put a pizza in the oven. I clean up the living room and decide it's late enough to put on pajamas. I walk upstairs and into our bedroom, and I open our dresser. It's hot in here. I grab a dark blue crop top and put it on. I take my pants off and leave them on the floor with my shirt. The door creaks and I turn around. Josh is standing by the doorway looking like he just got caught doing something he shouldn't. "Is everything alright? You look nervous." I shut the dresser drawer and approach him. "Nervous? No, I just was surprised to see you here. Ava's asleep." He still looks guilty. "alright, I'm gonna go check on the pizza." I walk downstairs leaving him still in the doorway.

I open the fridge and pull out Dr.pepper. I set it on the counter and get out some plates and glasses while I move my hips to the imaginary beat. I cut the pizza and put some on the plates, then I pour Dr.pepper into two wine glasses. "Josh! The pizzas- WHOA." I turn around and find Josh standing in front of me. "The pizzas done." I hand him his plate and carry mine to the living room. I sit down on the couch and take a bite of my pizza. "So even though you said you weren't mad at me. I still think you are. So I got you something." Josh says sitting down on the couch. He hands me a box with another smaller box on top. I can tell the bigger box is chocolate. The same kind I had before. I open the smaller box and dump the bracelet out into my hands. It's got charms on it, two hearts, a pizza, a rose, and an Eiffel Tower. It's beautiful, each charm meaning something special. Two hearts, his and mine. A pizza, because we both love pizza. A rose, like the petals he left on the bed the first time we stayed in Paris together. The Eiffel Tower, where he proposed. "Josh, it's perfect. I-I love it." He smiles. "And I'm not mad. I really want another baby too. I just don't want to rush things." I put my bracelet on and set the boxes down. "So you wanna try?" He asks. "Yeah. I do." He climbs over me and kisses me. I kiss him back, tangling my fingers into his hair. "Not now! We have to finish eating." I laugh and gently push him off me. He picks my legs up and puts them on his lap, wrapping his arm around me. I grab my pizza and Josh's and set them on us.

A/N: finally I updated. I've been sick for 5 days and I couldn't focus on writing.
