After a boring session in gym, with pointless running and sit ups, I was hungry.

Lunchtime couldn't have came sooner. Blaize walked me to lunch because Sky had mysteriously disappeared somewhere, so I asked Blaize about it.

"Sky? Oh, she's probably off with her boyfriend." I stopped walking. Sky had a boyfriend? What? Blaize must have noticed the look on my face, because he said, "You know Joey?"

"No?" I said.

"Heh, I forgot you were new for a minute. Joey likes giraffes." I looked at him funny. "He really likes giraffes." I saw Sky walk in. She came up beside us. "Hey guys." She said.

"Where's Joey?" Blaize asked.

"I don't have to be with him twenty four seven, do I?" She murmured.

"Yes. Yes you do. Ah, Here's the Joey monster."  Joey walked up beside Sky. He had light brown curly hair and was tall. He had pretty features and deep hazel eyes.

"Final call lunch!" The supervisor yelled. Joey knelt down in front of Sky. She jumped on his back and he took off running.

"Let's go!" Blaize said. He grabbed my hand and pulled me in the direction that Sky and Joey went. He slowed down and led me through a door way. Sky and Joey were just leaving the hallway like room that we were now in. Joey was carrying a tray full of food. Blaize walked up to a window.

"I would like a chicken sandwich, a hamburger, fries, and two cokes please." When the lunch lady looked at him funny, he jerked his head in my direction. She nodded in understanding and gave him the food. Afterwards, he walked up to another window and handed his student I.D. to another person. She gave it back after a couple seconds. He then lead me out of the room back into the cafeteria. We went the table where Sky and Joey were sitting. "Sup broskies!" Joey said laughing.

"Something funny?" Blaize asked.

"Everything is, dude. Everything is funny." Joey replied. Blaize let go of my hand to sit down. Had he been holding it the whole time? I sat down next to him and looked at the food that he grabbed for us. Burgers, fries, soda. Perfect. I was so hungry I could've eaten a cow.

"So... You two a thing yet? Joey asked, pointing at Blaize and I. "Oh wait, I forgot. Blaize doesn't date." There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice but it seemed playful.

Blaize looked at his food. I thought he was a player. I guess not. Blaize looked up at Joey. "No, I just met her, that would be weird. And by the way, Sky is your first, so ha-ha." He pretended to laugh. Joey must've hit something sensitive there. Blaize looked up at a bunch of guys the next table over. Somehow he looked different, but I couldn't figure out how. Two guys stood up from the table, One of them being huge comparatively to the other, a would be friendly looking African American boy and a large looking muscular white boy. Blaize blinked for the first time since the moment he looked over.

The bigger of the two moved his big hands up near his chest and started cracking his knuckles. That was not a good sign. The smaller one backed up a little. I looked at Blaize. I wondered why he seemed so worried.

"Why are you-" I got cut off when Blaize stood up. What was he doing? Sky noticed him standing up and looked at where his eyes were fixed.

"Oh, no... no, oh no. Not Jones." Was Jones the big one? "Don't do anything unless something happens." Sky continued. "Actually, don't do anything no matter what happens." she added. "Shhh... It's okay. Don't move. Calm down. It's okay. Morgan Is fine." Was she talking to Blaize?
