The party was horrible. Blinding lights flashed in my eyes and too many chicks were twerking all over the place. I groaned and wished I was back at home. Maybe I could sneak out and nobody would notice...

"Morgan! Hey, man!"

"Oh... hey, Jared."

"Nice party, am I right?"

"Uh... yeah, totally. Having the time of my life. Woo."

"Cool, man, cool... hey, could you do me a favor?"

Anything to get of here. "Sure. What is it?"

"Could you go to the store and get some more soda? I'm running low."

"Uh, sure..."

"Great. Here's a twenty." He handed me the money. "Try to make it quick."

"Okay," I said, and got out of there as fast as possible. The air felt nice on my skin, and I didn't feel so stuffy and uncomfortable anymore.

I got in my car and drove to Wal Mart. It would give me more time to be away from there.

A familiar car pulled into the parking lot as I walked in. Was that....

"Shit! It's him!"

Oh no...

"Blaize, shut up." Sky said. "Morgan, is that you? I thought you were at a party."

"I was," I told her.

"Oh. Well, hi! What were you here for?"

"Soda."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

Someone screamed. We all turned our attention to a woman behind us, who was pointing at the top of the building. Two figures were there, hovering.

"Who are they?" Xena exclaimed.

"I... I don't know!" Sky said.

One of the figures raised his arms, and a ball of darkness appeared between his hands.

"Holy shit, he has umbrakinesis!" I heard Blaize say.

"Umbrakinesis?" I asked.

"The ability to manipulate darkness..." He said slowly.

"Damn."

"Yeah, it's pretty badass. But something tells me these guys aren't on out side..."

Another figure appeared, almost out of thin air. Xena gasped and covered her mouth.

"Oh my God..." she whispered. "It's... it's..."

"Spit it out woman!" Blaize spun around to face her.

"Xavier... the drawing! It's exactly the same! He's seen that guy!" she yelled. Her voice dropped low. "It's... Dad... DAD!"

The tallest figure turned and looked straight at us. He wore a very futuristic looking visor-thing that went across his eyes. A red ray of line scanned over it.

Blaize grabbed her and brought her behind a car, speaking in hushed tones. Sky and I exchanged confused glances.

Another of the figures began to raise her arms. Blaize suddenly yelled, "EVERYONE COVER YOUR EARS!"

A deafening high pitched noise through the crowd. People dropped to the ground clutching their ears. Once it stopped, We turned to look at Blaize.

"She manipulates sound waves..." Blaize said.

"How did you know?" Sky asked.

"I had a hunch..." he said with a grimace.

I dropped to the ground by Blaize and Xena, pulling Sky with me.

"ATTENTION EVERYONE." The girl said. "WE NEED YOU TO COOPERATE AND YOU WILL NOT BE HARMED." Her voice was so loud, but she didn't sound like she was yelling. She sounded calm. A boy who looked around our age stepped out of Wal-Mart holding a large death-ray looking thing. Sky gasped a little when she saw him.

"He was outside of my store the other day..."

"Who is he and why deas he have a weapon from Star-Trek?" Blaize asked.

"PLEASE FOCUS YOUR ATTENTION ON THE PICTURE ON THE WALL."

"What picture on the- oh." Blaize pointed to a moving picture. It was of a hallway. The person who was holding the camera started walking down it and into a room. A little girl's voice rang out in the darkness.

   "Sky? Blaize? Hello?"

Sky blinked. "Celie? ...  CELIE!" She screamed.

"Oh my God, where is she?" Blaize asked, panic growing in his voice. The lights flashed in the room celie was in and the camera walked into a different room. A boy was wailing.

"Xena help me! They have me! The monster has me!" He was sobbing. Xena's eyes widened.

"Xavier! You guys, we have to do something!" The camera shifted again. Another small figure was shivering under a wool sheet. Her little head popped out. Rosie. I didn't say anything. I didn't have to. Blaize put a hand on my shoulder.

"What are we waiting for, a red carpet?" he asked. "Let's kick ass!"

"We can't just barge in there and attack! they'll kill us!" The camera shifts once more into another room.

Joey was hanging from chains around his hands and feet, his head dangling. Sky started sobbing, promting Blaize to pull her head to his chest. A bellow made me look back up at the screen.  A man in a hooded jacket was holding a dagger up to Joey's neck, pushing into the skin. Blood was dripping down. Sky let out a cry; partly of relief that he wasn't dead, and partly because he was probably going to be soon.

"We have to do something."  I said. "We just have to."

"IF YOU WANT TO SEE HIM OR YOUR SIBLINGS ALIVE AGAIN, YOU NEED TO COME WITH US. NOW."

A white van pulled up next to us and the door slid open. Sky got in without hesitation, followed by Xena. Blaize looked at me.

  "Ladies first."

"You're really going to say that at a time like this? People we care about could end up dead!" I exclaimed.

"Just trying to lighten the mood," He mumbled, and climbed in the van. I followed.
