I picked up my phone as I was talking to my older brother Jodiah wondering how we were going to take care of my little sister Celie tonight.

"I have to work!" I said, already exasperated.

"I have a class!" he replied. He was in community college for his first year. Then he was going to C.U.

"What are we going to do?" I asked.

"Blaize?" He offered.

"He broke his leg."

"It's not like we have any other choice."

"I guess I... I could ask."

"Okay."

I stepped into my sisters room. She was awake, sitting partialy up, reaching for her water.

I walked up to her and held it to her and up to her mouth. Celie was eleven, but looked nine because of how tiny she was. Jodiah walked in and took the water from me so I could go and pick up Blaize. I kissed her forehead and left the house. The snow was melted and the sun shone brightly. I was driving blaize's car because he couldn't because of his leg. When I got to Blaize's house he came out with his crutches. Over the years, he had mastered crutches. I hated having to watch him hurting himself, but the last time we tried fake it, they found him out.

He almost had to swim. At the last second he threw up. They let him go home early since his temperature was 102.6, but that's low for him. His normal is about 109.2 I had to push it down alot. that was as low as I could do it. I bet Xena could get it alot lower since I can only control the temperature of the ground around him.

When Blaize got into the car he said, "They sent me to a new special doctor." I nodded, "Because my bone was growing too fast. The old doctor didn't know what to do." I pulled out of the driveway and was almost at Xena's house when I saw smoke. It was near her house. "Hey?" Blaize said.

"Ya, I see it." I drove a little faster untill I turned the corner and saw Xena sitting on the grass of her lawn. Her clothes were black with charr. There were two cars in front of her house wrapped around eachother. I parked a few houses away from her and got out and ran. She looked dased. I kneeled next to her.

"Are you okay?" My voice sounded frantic. She looked up at me. "Sky?" She asked.

"Ya," I said. I could tell she wasn't totally with it.

The paramedics asked her what she had to do with the accident. A girl in a stretcher replied for her.

"She's the one who saved me." The girl who said it was a very popular girl from our school.

I looked at Blaize. He was staring at Xena. She looked up and saw Blaize. Her eyes gained focus when she saw him and he got more color to his cheeks.

"So... You saved the most popular girl in school." Blaize said.

"Who is she?" Xena replied.

"Everest Woitanic."

"The sluttiest slut in the whole wide world." Blaize sang.

"She didn't look like a slut when she was unconcious in a flaming car." Xena said.

Blaize looked uncomfortable, but laughed with the look on Xena's face.

"Do you want to go to school today?" Xena's mom asked her. "You don't have to."

"Ya... I can't skip out on my second day. I'll be fine." Blaize looked at her skepticaly.

"But you arm." He said. Her mom picked up her arm. It was bloody and burnt,

"You need to get checked out." She said.

"No, mom, Just a band aid, or something."

"Fine." She said. I helped Xena up and into her house. She was a little wobbly. Luckily her mom used to be a nurse. So she had a kit with pads and wraps. After Xena was all better, I drove them both to school. We were still early. Xena was handling things very well and showed almost no signs of post traumatic stress disorder. Although, it was still early for that.

As soon as we got out of the car, people started pointing at Blaize and whispering. "Relax, people, I'm fine." Blaize said, yelling. Everyone grumbled around and made a large pathway for us to go through, they knew how he could be with crutches. Dangerous.
