I shot up screaming, and felt a pain in my back. "Wow Miranda, sweetheart calm down. It is alright." I looked up to see that Steve had ran into the room and straight to my side. I pulled him into a hug knowing he is alive. "What happened?" I asked Steve through the tears. He pushed me to lay back down, and stroked my hair out of my face. "What happened? is a great question that I can't answer." In return he asked me if I had a nightmare, and all I could do was nod my head yes. Steve got me a glass of water and asked me what happened in my nightmare. I told him that something was happening to me, and I couldn't move. I told him that I watched him die. Steve saw the tears forming in my eyes, he pulled me into a hug. He whispered "I will never leave you, as long as their is a breath left in my body." I dug my face into his chest even more letting more tears escape. "Miranda the children are waiting to see you, they want to make sure you are alright. And by children I mean the girls, Nigel, and Andrea. They are also watching the babies." I wiped my tears and layed back down gently on my pillow, as Steve placed another pillow behind my aching back. Steve went out and got my friends and family, I was so happy to finally say "thank you." to Nigel and Andrea for everything over the past three days. I could hear footsteps outside my door, and I could hear little cries from Colin and Daniel. A smile crept up onto my face as sneaky as a lizard. The door flung open and Caroline and Cassidy ran in and immediately jumped up onto the bed, they pulled me into a tight hug. "Hey girls. I am just fine." They let go and smiled as Steve walked in holding Colin, and behind him was Nigel and Andrea. Nigel was holding Daniel. "Girls are you behaving?" They nodded their heads and laughed, as I remembered where their ticklish spots are. Steve took Daniel from Nigel, so Nigel and andrea could get a hug from Me. "Hey boss, how you feeling?" Nigel asked pulling me into a massive "Nigel" hug. Andrea soon joined in and asked if I was ready to go home, well actually she asked me about work and I changed it to home. "Nigel, Andrea I am feeling great, but I just wanted to say Thank You for all your help over the past three chaotic days. I don't know what would have happened to me if you guys weren't my friends. I will be going home very soon if this pain in my back goes away." They all jumped off my bed within three seconds. Steve pulled a stool towards my bed and paged the doctor Matthews. "Honey how long has this pain been happening sweetheart?" I had to think about that for a second I have only been awake for one hour. "It started before I passed out and I felt it as soon as woke up just now." Steve sat me up and started massaging my back. Doctor mathews jogged into the room and immediately asked what was wrong. Everyone left except Steve. He told Doctor Mathews that I was having these severe back pains, all he did was feel places that hurt on my back. "Miranda you need to take it easy from now on, I know you weren't doing anything over the top but apparently we didn't run enough tests to let you out yesterday. "Wait I have been here for another day." Doctor Mathews shook his head "yes". Now Miranda I will prescribe you pain meds for your back, but for right now I want you to get some rest tonight, your Husband can stay here as long as he wants." I nodded my head, and Steve helped me lay down on my back on a nice heating pack. " I will make sure she stay relaxed, and gets some sleep." Doctor Matthews smiled and left. "Honey when will we ever get to take our babies home. I am sorry that I am causing so many problems." Steve cut me me off. "Sweetheart we will take our babies to see their new home as soon as you are perfectly healthy. It is not your fault that this has happened to you, but whatever happens I will be their for you. Now get some sleep." I closed my eyes and drifted off into a slumber yet again in a hospital bed.
