Grant took Sarah to his place a few days later to give her a tour. He lived in a large house in the upscale part of town.

Grant showed Sarah the house. Past the foyer there was a large great room which connected to the dining area and kitchen. The master suite where Grant slept was on one side of the house. There was a guest suite on the other side of the house. Greg usually stayed there, but it would become Sarah's living space instead. The house was very modern and well built. Sarah was impressed.

Grant had his office in the den, but there was a third bedroom where Sarah could set up her office. It wouldn't take much trouble for her to move in. Grant was right. There was plenty of room for the both of them.

Grant was willing to check on Sarah's condo until she could find a tenant. He was also willing to do any repairs or maintenance so that she wouldn't have to worry about it.

They decided that Sarah would move in the following weekend. It would only take her a few days to pack her things. She wasn't bringing much besides her clothing and office equipment. She had a lot of files and paperwork for her business and all of that had to move with her. Grant said it wouldn't be a problem.

The day Sarah moved in with Grant went by fast, but it went smoothly. Grant only needed to make one trip with his truck. Sarah cleaned up the condo so that she could rent it furnished. By the time she got to Grant's place, she was exhausted.

Grant took one look at her and led her to the dining area.

"I made some stew for us," he said, showing her to her seat. "Please have something to eat before you go lie down."

Sarah smiled at Grant in gratitude. Her beauty caught him off guard. He quickly sat down and started to eat.

The food smelled good to Sarah. She actually felt hungry for a change.

"Thanks for this, Grant," she said appreciatively.

"You're welcome," he replied brusquely. "There's plenty, so eat lots."

They made small talk while they ate their meal. Sarah wasn't used to having someone to talk to and Grant didn't seem to mind making conversation.

"I'll try to stay out of your way," Sarah said as she finished her serving of stew.

"Don't worry about that," Grant replied lightly. "I'll feel so much better knowing that I'm close by in case you need me."

"I'm hoping I won't need you too much," she said, standing up to take her dishes to the sink.

"Where are you going?" Grant asked curiously.

"To do the dishes," she replied, heading toward the kitchen.

"Please don't worry about those," Grant said, standing up also.

They ended up almost colliding.

Sarah's sense of smell was heightened by her pregnancy and she could smell Grant's after shave, his cologne. His proximity made her dizzy.

"Are you okay?" he asked, taking her dishes from her.

"I'm fine," she replied lightly. "I think I'm just tired."

"Why don't you go have a nap?" Grant suggested.

"I think I'll do that," she answered, feeling a bit wobbly.

As Sarah went to her room, she reflected on her reaction to Grant. Was she attracted to her new roommate? She hoped not because that would make things really complicated. As if they weren't already complicated enough.
