Empty driveway
I bought you a new car seat
With little white dogs on it
Kids like dogs, I think
Your room is a bright shade of yellow
Because we don't know if you are a little handsome fellow
Or our beautiful baby princess
Your mother is so happy
She can barely contain all her crazy emotions
In that oversized dress
She glows from your warmth
Like a mirror reflecting the sun
I have never wanted anything
More than to see your face
So I waited for the happiest day of my life
But it never came
But you never came..
You never came
Your mother left
It was all too soon
It was all too soon
She couldn't bear that you had abandoned her
And so she abandoned me
She took the car
Along with your car seat
And the white dogs on it
All I have now is
a bunch of memories
That never happened
Strewn all over
the empty driveway
