Single Candle
Today I celebrated my time with you
The time was short one candle will do
This ultrasound framed on the wall
Would you be short, medium or tall?
Today I remember the one that never came
Staring at the picture in the broken frame
Thrown across the room in a moment of rage
Trapped in the past like a lion thats caged
Today is the day you would have been due
Laying in a room made just for you
Staring at the candle light as it dances and sways
How I wish today was your day
Stuck in this sadness of my own creation
I blow out this candle in hopeful celebration
For one day I wish to meet with you
And until then one candle will do
