memory graveyard (Bill Temple)

the crimson pool gathers beneath

the mannequin's empty eyes

a single ray of sunlight

now exposes the disguise

as darkness slowly fades away

the veiled truth exposed

the silent breath still lingers on

another poor, lost soul

we may never understand

the reasons why

though we may try so hard

we shuffle through the

faded photographs

of the memory graveyard
