Jay took Dawn to the centre of the ball room, and the lights dimmed. The band struck up a slow, charming waltz tune as Jay requested her to dance. She nodded, a small smile playing on her attractive lips and they started dancing. Standing close, one of her hand on his shoulder while one rested in his hand, Jay could feel her body relax. He placed his hands on her waist and started twirling her around. His eyes, riveted to hers, he could feel a wave of emotions behind those sparkling blues. They slowly moved in cue with the tune and Jay felt himself as weightless, moving in space, dancing with easily the most beautiful girl in the room. Her blue eyes glowed with pleasure as he picked her up at one point and her skin was warm beneath his touch. He had forgotten everything. He was in a ball room, filled with all the guests, the fact that hundreds of people were watching them, he just moved around with Dawn, lost in those blue jewels, the world that hid behind them, the perfect, luscious red lips... He didn't realize, the song ended and another started and he kept on dancing with the princess of his life for right there at that moment he discovered a thing that he couldn't himself believe. He did believe in fate and destiny. And he knew it was both of them that had made Dawn bump into his life that day.

Dawn, he had no idea when,no idea how, had made a special place for herself in his heart. He did notthink he would have ever said anything like this but for the first time; he hadstarted feeling as if Dawn was the beginning and end to everything. His daystarted and ended only after talking to her. Even when she was not there withhim, her shining face, smiling eyes and the kind heart that lay beyondenchanted Jay. He could not help himself. He just knew it. There was going tobe no end to this relationship. He knew that. Because now, each day of his lifewas dedicated to Dawn. He did not know what made it so passionate, butsomething about the two of them, just made it stronger. He was not sure if hemattered to her in the same way as she did to him. But he knew, she too feltthe special connection which had spontaneously sprung up between them. Not yet,but soon enough, Jay was sure he was going to tell her all of this and proposeher to join his life as his life partner. Soul mate. It would be so perfect......He knew then, without doubt, that he was is fact irretrievably in love with her.
