The next few days were a blur in his life. He did not know why he was still alive. He wished he was dead. He had no idea how he had made it home but remembered a panicked Fresno covering up his shivering, drenched form in warm blankets and bundling him up on the living room divan before running around the house and waking up all the other servants. Someone forced hot chocolate down his throat and he remembered seeing a doctor. But apart from that he had no memories. He had immediately come down with a really high temperature, his arms and legs ached. His back was sore and hurt. But above all..... His heart ached, cried and screamed and there was no one to hush up those tears. It bled, with the anguish of being left alone... Of Dawn not being with him. The fire inside him was burning lower, yet the pain never left him.

He did not remember how he had explained the situation to his parents. Fresno had alerted them and three days later, they stumbled home terrified and panicky. Dawn's parents had been there too, demanding about their daughter. Jay had no choice. It was time he told them the truth. With as much courage he could muster, Jay pulled down the story in front of them. He did not see their expressions; in fact, he did not see anything these days. He was living just for the sake of living. He had no desire to. Everyone had been stunned when he had ended. To be honest, he did not remember anything else.

A month and a half later when he had regained consciousness, he had talked to his dad. His dad had sent a helicopter to find any clue of the girls. Nothing. It had been completely clueless. Jay told his dad that he did not want to live here anymore. His father, considering the events decided to not press matters too far. Though he had to live here for a while longer, his dad decided to send him back to the Sates. His mother stayed with his father but sadly bade him farewell. With Dawn, it seemed, they had also lost their beautiful son. The Jay now was no longer the Jay they had before.

When he had reached home, Jay had restricted himself to his studies. His enthusiasm in music failed. He would not take interest in anyone much. Mark, Will and Mia, though knowing the story, were surprised by his attitude. Jay no longer knew how to smile. His life swirled around the time spent with Dawn.... He lived in a world of his own dreams...... Life would be so unfair; he had no idea before it happened to him...
