Having told Fresno to alert him when Dawn arrived, Jay moved around the people, meeting them. Drink in his hands; he kept checking his watch, wondering what was taking Dawn so long. He almost felt worried now. Thinking about her, he was reminded of her weird behaviour a few days back after their lesson had ended.

Jay had been strolling in the garden when he had seen Dawn rush towards him. Gripped with fear, of what might have happened to her, Jay had asked her to sit down and explain her problem. She had then told him that she had been in the dance room when she had felt someone grab her shoulder and when she had turned it had been the huge rag doll they had to practice dance moves. She had screamed and ran out. Though Jay had found it difficult to believe, he had done and had also consoled her.

Once again, deep in his thoughts, Jay was too preoccupied with his own self to notice Fresno coming towards him and startled when he softly touched his shoulder. He asked.

'Oh! I was just.... What is it, Fresno?'

Fresno gave him a smile.

'Sure sir! Your lady is here.'

Jay started and kept his drink down, fixing his hair and asked.

'Really? Where is she?'

Fresno gave a meaningful smile towards the entrance door.

'She just arrived. Go welcome her.'

Jay took a deep breath calming himself down and cursing himself for the lost expression which popped up on his face, each time he was thinking about her. Come to think of it, everyone would probably term this as 'love-sickness' and understand before he was even ready to. The look on Fresno's face had told him enough.

He walked to the door, just in time to spot Dawn's parents entering the hall, arm in arm, smiling. Dawn followed behind them and Jay's world seemed to have frozen. The girl entering was not a mortal, more like a Goddess. She wore a pink and purple periwinkle dress, seemed to be made of some floaty material and as it trailed down her legs, hiding her feet, made her look as if she was floating. Her face shone and the red tinge on her cheeks just added more drama to her appearance. Her thick black eye lashes, seemed even more beautiful today and her eyes, sparkled. The red lipstick she had chosen for the event flamed up stunningly against her pale face and blue eyes. The combination was so drop dead gorgeous, had any guy lost his heart to her right there and then, he wouldn't have blamed them.

He was so absorbed, he did not know how he managed it, but a minute later he was standing by Dawn. He bowed to her and took her hand, softly kissing it. He then straightened up and gave her his best smiles.

'Welcome to the party, Dawn. Now that the guest of honour is here, we can finally begin with the festive.'

Dawn, who was looking at him intently, gave him such a beautiful smile that he wished this was the last thing he would ever see before he died.

'Oh, Jay! You look so fabulous. I can't believe I have such a handsome guy by my side. Every girl here is going to get jealous of me.'

Jay pursed his lips and continued smiling.

'No, Dawn. You are the one; people are going to have their eyes on today.' He pulled a face. 'Not that I like it. But you are so strikingly beautiful.'

Dawn smiled and ruffled his hair slightly.

'You are so cute.'

They were standing really close as they talked and Jay faintly realized that he was still holding her hand........ And suddenly he felt a sharp pain on his side and realized Mark and Will stood on his side, somebody just having pinched him. Never before had he hated their interference so much. Dawn pulled back, slightly flustered, red in the face while Jay felt like punching both Mark and Will, who had stupid grins on their faces. He scowled, while Mark looked at Dawn intently, who was looking everywhere but at them. Mark then said.
