Heidi pov

I sat in front of the tv. While my favorite movie played. id watched it hundreds of times but....there was nothing better to do.

Today was nicks birthday. And when I said every one I mean everyone went to his party. Not me though I never would. I silently cursed him under my breath as the credits came on.

I sighed as I started to pick up the mess I had made. The home phone suddenly started ringing.

I picked it up and cradled the phone between my shoulder and ear.

"Hello?"

"Heidiiiii" someone screamed into the receiver.

With that I instantly knew who it was.

"Yeah kelly"

"Thepartyissocool" she slurred her words and I knew she was drunk.

"Kelly hunny how drunk are you."

"Drunk who said I was drunk wait did snuggles tell you"

Snuggles was her blanky that had stuck with her through thick and thin.

"No, who are you with right now pass them to me"

I herd the phone being passed around.

"Yeah"

"Oh god, josh how drunk is she"

He laughed for a bit before he answered. " you don't want to know lets just say that right now she's dirty dancing with some chick on top of the bar." He laughed again.

"Stop her" I shrieked

"I tr-

The music got louder cutting off what he was saying.

"Josh, Josh"

I herd him walking.

"Ok that better"

"Yes now why aren't you stopping her from embarrassing her self."

"She won't listen to me"

"Then drag her out of there. you know how pissed she's going to be tomorrow if you don't."

"Yeah, yeah" he muttered

Then under his breath " don't let us have any fun"

"Hey I herd that" I yelled at him.

He laughed before cutting the call off.  

I went back to my cleaning knowing they would be here soon.

An hour later and they were both sitting in front of me. Well Josh was, Kelly had passed out and was sprawled out over the couch and josh.

"This girl is crazy" he stated looking down at her.

I smiled. "Do you think she will remember anything tomorrow." He asked

"I dot know." After a second I added "what all exactly happened. "

He chuckle quietly trying not to wake Kelly but I didn't think anything could wake her up at this point.

I leaned back as he began telling me everything she did.

(Nicks pov)

I looked around the dark party room. The music blared extremely loud. You had to shout to be herd over the music. Well the humans did anyway.

The night had gone on and there was still no sign of my mate

'What if we didn't have one' my wolf said to me.

'We have to everyone does'

'Then ware is she' he whined

I wanted to whine to but kept my self in check for the people here.

Girls were in the very short trashy dresses while the guys stared at them with lust written all over their faces. I would be too but I just couldn't bring myself out of my misery for not finding my mate.

"Hey baby" a high pitched voice said in my ear.

I turned to look at Lexi. "What" I said a little annoyed. I didn't really like Lexi she was a bitch to everyone and wore way, way to much makeup.

She stuck her bottom lip out pouting.  

Then she smiled "want to have some fun" she whispered

I could hear her even though the music was on full blast considering Im a werewolf. She was too and she had it in her head that she would be future Luna. No way in hell that would happen, I already knew she wasn't my mate so I didn't have to even think about it. The only reason I even talked to her was because she was good in bed.

"No"

"Come on." She insisted. "I'm your mate stop saying I'm not." She begged

"I know you feel it too" she purred.

I backed away from her but she just followed.

"Look, Lexi it's my birthday and I really shouldn't spend it with one person.''

She smiled wickedly . "We'll I haven't even gave you your present yet."

I knew exactly what she meant.

"Nick" Dylan, a wolf from my pack called me over.

I sighed in relief. Walked over to him.

"Happy birthday Nick."

"Thanks Dylan"

"No prob."

Suddenly the music stopped and cole and Lucas stepped up to a small stage in the front.

"First off I just wan to say happy birthday Nick." A roar of voices filled the room.

"We have been buddy's for a long time and now your legally an adult so hurray to that."

"Just know I'm here for you weather your drunk or get a chick knocked up, because the way you are it's bound to happen." I squeezed my eyes shut at that last part, he knew I had stopped messing around and was just messing with me.

His speech was followed by many others. Each making me sound stupid and wild.

The night ended with more dancing and drunks. Including me. I stumbled up the stairs. Falling twice along the way. I opened the door to my huge room with dark blue walls. And laid on my king size bed.

I stared at the ceiling my wolf whimpering that we didn't find out mate.

Maybe we really didn't have one. I laid awake as long as I could a bottle of vodka still in my hand in till the vodka washed over me and I passed out
