"So..Whats the deal with you and Liam" she singsonged his name earning a glare from Branwenn.

She was beginning to learn how excitable Chloe could really get. It was adorable and refreshing in a way. It was so much nicer to not have to guess what someone thought about you all the time.

Rolling her eyes she took her time answering Chloe's question. Simply to tease her a bit. On the way to the cafeteria, she had already decided that if she was going to make friends, she'd have to be a little more open.

"Stop messing with me and spill it, girl!"

Laughing she responded, "alright. Alright. I have to warn you though there really isn't much to tell."

Chloe simply raised her eyebrow in an impatient gesture.

Branwenn took a deep breath. "He's just a guy I ran into on my way to school, quite literally in fact."

Chloe's eyes bugged out and she shouted, "what? He wasn't mad was he?"

Branwenn was a little taken aback at her reaction. Why was she so shocked he wasn't mad? If anything she thought Chloe would be more worried about them possibly kissing. Of course she hadn't really known her that long. Maybe Chloe was more serious than she thought.

"Well, no. He didn't seem bothered at all. He was actually very nice even when I.."

She stopped short. There was no way she was going to reveal to Chloe about her accidentally feeding on Liam. It was too humiliating and she didn't want Chloe disgusted with her. Besides, she'd promised herself she would move on from those horrible inclinations. Better to just forget it.

"When you what," asked Chloe curiously?

"Oh when I acted so nervous. I couldn't help myself. The Ice men are so..hot!"

We both burst out laughing at this. It was amazing how happy I could feel over something so small. Once we calmed down a bit Chloe spoke.

"Well, that's true," she said with a wink. "However, they can be a bit...uptight...sometimes," she said a little reluctantly.

"It's why I was so surprised at his reaction, but he does seem like such a sweetheart."

"Yeah..sweetheart," sighed Branwenn with a dreamy look on her face.

Chloe smirked mischievously. "Ooh...you are so in love," she crooned.

Just then a blast of icy air hit them both knocking the wind out of Branwenn's lungs. Looking over at Chloe for information, she noticed her glaring behind her.

"Hey Succubus," the word was sneered with distaste. The hair on the nape of her neck stood on end and she slowly turned to see the speaker.

The girl was tall and thin. With silvery hair that ran down past her hips. It reminded her of freshly fallen snow. She had beautiful high cheek bones and grey eyes. She was painfully beautiful, but in a dangerous way.

"Yes. Can I help you," She asked in as polite a tone as possible under the circumstances.

The girl smirked looking between her two groupies. "Oh yeah you can help us. By getting the hell out of here."

She couldn't have heard right. Was she serious? What could she have possibly done to piss them off so much? She had just gotten here!

"Uh...I think you have the wrong person," she finished lamely.

The girl then raised her eyebrow and sneered, "really? I don't see any other soul suckers around here."

"Why don't you just back off Celine! She hasn't done anything wrong and doesn't deserve to be treated like some criminal," Chloe shouted angrily.

The Ice woman didn't seem phased by this in the slightest. In fact she threw her head back and laughed.

"Really Chloe, I thought even you would know better than to hang out with one of them. Of course you always were a little....strange."

Branwenn didn't know why they were acting like this. She knew that relations between the sucubi and yuki weren't great, but this was crazy. Worst they were dragging Chloe into it and she couldn't let that happen. She knew better than anyone what it was like to be ostracized by your own people.

"Look stop. It's not Chloe's fault, it's mine. I..I took advantage of her so please just leave her out of this," she said reluctantly.

Celine seemed a bit taken aback by this, but quickly recomposed herlself.

"What..no!," Yelled Chloe.

"At least you admit your nothing, but a soul sucking leach. Probably only here to prey on our men. Whats the matter already use and throw away all the ones at your old school?"

The girls that followed Celine giggled at her sneered statement.

"Of course not! I don't believe in that kind of thing. It's why I came here in the first place. To get away from that.."

Branwenn tried her best to explain, but she could see they weren't having it. Nothing she said would make them see her as anything but a leach. It was just like her old school why did she think she could get away by coming here.

"So you did go through all of your men already. Well fair warning leach. Stay away from ours, they wouldn't come near someone like you with a ten foot pole anyway," she snickered along with her crew.

The bell rung and saved her from further humiliation, but that didn't stop Celine from getting the last word in.

As she turned to leave, elegantly flipping her hair in the process, she whispered, "remember leach, claws and lips off."

What started out as a great day very quickly turned into the worst. She should have known better. Looking up she went to apologize to Chloe for what she said before, but was stopped short at what she saw.

Chloe was livid and the normally pale girls face was a bloody red.

"Chloe I.."

"How dare you," her words were cold and flat.

"I thought we were friends, but I guess I was wrong."

Branwenn just hung her head in shame. What could she say? It was true. She had treated Chloe horribly, it didn't matter that she was trying to help.

Chloe shook her head when Branwenn refused to answer. With one last glare she quickly left the cafeteria making her way to her next class.

Seeing her only friend take off was like a knife to the gut. She should have known better, but the hope that she could finally find friends here was too much. Now those hopes came crashing down on her like a violent storm.

When she felt wetness in her cheeks she thought for one delirious moment that the storm was real, but quickly realized it was only her tears.

Dashing through the cafeteria doors she made her way to the yard and far away from the school.
