She stood at the edge of the building, one step and down she go.

Looking at the horizon, Minhye realised how gloomy it looked - as if it could relate how she was feeling then. Pressure was the cause of everything. One of them includes the reason why she was standing at the top of the building, almost presenting heaven her life.

Entering a university wasn't what she wanted, more like her parents' wish. It wasn't what she like or wanted. Just why can't they let her choose? Yes she know, she know it was for her own good, but will it bring her happiness?

No.

So what if she could be rich in the future - will she be happy?

No.

And that was why, she was on the verge of breaking down.

Nothing else was in her thoughts, other than the overwhelming negativity. Just jump and it's done, she told herself. Shutting her eyes tight, childhood memories flooded her mind all at once. Those days where she could laughed like the world was perfect, everything was perfectly well to her.

Lies, she thought. So much lies..

Nothing was ever perfect, nothing could be - including the things she love the most.

"If only," she muttered. "If only we could all stay innocent." Tears were kissing her cheeks.

Gathering all her courage, she let go of the metal bar she was holding and exhaled a deep breath through her mouth before glancing down. Her lips were trembling with fear as a droplet of tears dropped, down to the ground it went.

Soon, she would be just like it..

Just when she had mustered all that courage and was about to take her final step, her phone rang.

And she just lost it. She burst out crying with a shout. Why must it ring when she was about to end all her misery? She stepped down from the edge and collapsed to the rough ground. She was like a broken tap, crying non-stop. She reached out for her phone and picked it up as she sniffled.

"Kim Minhye! Where did you go?! Why didn't you reply my messages?!" a deep voice shouted at the other line of the phone. That voice.. how had she not think about how he could have felt if she had ended off her life earlier? Guiltiness got her crying like a lost child. "H-Hoseok.." she cried.

"Minhye? Are you crying? What happened? Where are you now?!" Hoseok bombarded her with questions.

Minutes later, the door swung opened. Revealing a guy with his whole body drenched in sweat. Without a single word spoken, he ran towards the woman he loves so much and enveloped her in the warmest hug he could ever give her. Minhye lost it again, tears flowing out of her eyes like there's no tomorrow.

"You scare the shit out of me, idiot! Why are you here?!" Hoseok shouted. She cried harder, thinking about what she was about to do just now. "Sshh.. I'm here now.." he comforted softly once realising how loud he had been.

Hoseok kept quiet afterwards but still kept her in his arms, wrapping tightly around her waist. Eventually, Minhye stopped crying.

"Why, Minhye? Why are you here?" he asked after pulling away.

She spilled out the beans - everything she had kept to herself to realise how foolish she was.

"I'm sorry.." she mumbled under her breath - avoiding his eyes.

Tilting her chin upwards, "don't apologise to me, Minhye. Say that to yourself, you almost give your life away." he said, looking into her puffy red eyes.

"They are just obstacles. Everyone will go through them and you know what? I'm gonna be by your side and go through these bullshit with you together, okay?" he spoke, ruffling her hair.

"Do you trust me?" he asked, Minhye nodded immediately.

"Then tell me everything from now on, promise?" Hoseok held his pinky out as he said that.

She nodded her head before hooking onto his pinky with a small smile on her face.

He held her in his embrace again. "You don't know how precious you're to me, jagi. I don't care if you aren't the top student in school or whatever, you are still you - the Minhye whom I love so much.. Promise me another thing, you will learn to love yourself just like I do?" he whispered. "I promise." she whispered back as she hugged him closely, as tight as she could.

Sometimes, that small little amount of love, could be just the solution to everything.
