I was on patrol last night. I heard something in the woods, so I went to check it out. I couldn't see who it was until I was right next to her. Then I realized that she was an Extra. I went on high alert, and asked her what she was doing here.

"Don't you recognize me, Andrew?" she's said. And I didn't. I had no clue as to who she was. Her eyes were white. I only then realized that she was Kennedy.

"I know I shouldn't be here. Extras aren't aloud, but I was never kicked out. I was kidnapped. Please, you have to understand that." You know that we're suppose to kill Extras on sight, but... I couldn't.

"I understand," I said. "But, what do you want?"

She takes a small breath. "Look, I know what happened to Infinity's sister the other day. Londyn told me. She laughed at the way that Infinity cried. I couldn't take it. I left. I came to find someone here to tell someone. Luckily, I found you.

"I found out, not long ago, that Londyn had put a chip in Infinity's neck. She's suppose to get a bunch of information for her. They are planning to put out the fire--raid the city--kill everyone. It's going to be bad, Andrew. Really bad."

My mind was spinning, so I nodded, and told her I had to get back to my post.

Infinity, when you become the Luminary, you'll have access to everything. They'll tell you everything. You have to make sure that chip is out of you by then.

I finish reading the page, and look up at Andrew. "Did she say when?" I ask, making sure my sentence is as vague as possible. Kennedy is an Extra now, but she's still my friend, and I still want to protect her.

"I would guess in about 5 days." Then something occurs to me. I reach for the paper, turn it to the side that is not written on, and begin to write.

A small grin appears on Andrew's lips. "Smart. Let's do it." I nod, and smile, knowing that, no matter what happens, we'll be ready.
