Breakfast+ Meeting Alexis

I wake up Sunday morning to the smell of waffles and syrup. Yum. I quickly jump out the bed and head to the bathroom. I do my hygiene and then rush towards the kitchen. What? Those waffles won't be hot and ready forever. I see stella and a girl I don't recognize in the kitchen standing over the stove. Stella turns around.

"Good morning kia."

"Good morning." I reply awkwardly.

Stella catching on to my uncomfort says "oh Kiana meet my friend Alexis. The brunette turns around and smiles sweetly.

"Hey, stella has told me so much about you."

"Hopefully all good." I say as i grab the plate of waffles stella hands me.

-laughs- "yes, of course."

I sit at the table and pour some syrup over my waffles. Alexis sits to the left of me.

"So I hear your a singer."

"Yeah. Actually that's why I moved out here:to pursue my dreams."

"Very brave of you."

"I wouldn't call it brave. Everybody on this earth was put on this earth for a reason I just feel like mines has to do with music."

Stella comes to the table with her Own plate of waffles and says: "you know alexis use to be Joshua Simmons assistant."

I almost choke on my waffles. "JOSHUA SIMMONS!"

Alexis and stella giggle as they watch my dumbfound expression.

"Yeah. He was a great boss. I quit cause I felt like there was more out there for me you know I didn't want to be an assistant my whole life."

"Wow. I can't believe you knew Joshua Simmons. He owns the biggest urban record label in the world. Paradise Records is huge.

"I know, I think Mr.Simmons just signed that new kid..
What was his name stella?"

"January Arsenal I think." Stella replies.

"Really I thought it was September aquarium."

I look at them like their stupid as they try to remember what month his name was. When they get to December i know I have to step in. "You guys mean August Alsina" I semi yell in disbelief.

"Yeah that one." Alexis nods.

I look at them shocked. Instead of saying anything I decide to just eat my breakfast. People in L.A. are so weird.
