The following week goes by quickly. Go to work with stella, leave at 8 p.m. mon-fri and 6 p.m. sat. Sometimes hang out with Alexis and eat then sleep. Sunday morning I wake up and get a text from my sister Natalie.

MyKia💚🍑: Natty!!!

NatBaby😻: how's life in L.A. is it like the movies?

MyKia💚🍑: I haven't really gotten to see much. Just been working.

Natbaby😻: you work on the weekends?

MyKia💚🍑: just on Saturday.

NatBaby😻: well its Sunday so go out and tour. What's the fun in just working. That record deal you pursuing isn't just gonna come to you.

MyKia💚🍑: ik

NatBaby😻: then go. Have fun love.

MyKia💚🍑: bye nat. Tell everyone I said hi.

My conversation with Natalie reminded me why I came out here. Its been a week and I haven't even worked on any music yet. She's right that record deal that I need from Paradise Records isn't going to just come to me.

I go to the bathroom quickly do my hygiene and pick out an outfit (in the media). I head to the living room were stella is laying down on the couch watching TV.

"Hey stell."

"Hey." She says as she looks up.

"Do you know any studios around here."

"Like music studios?"

"Yeah."

"No but I bet Alexis does. She went with Joshua Simmons to all the sessions he went to when she was his assistant.

"Ok. Do you have her number? I never got it down.

"Yeah its 310-***-***.

So now its been a month since I've been living in L.A. since the day I got Alexis's number from stella things have been going great. Alexis is now my manager, on Sundays i record at city jam studios, and today she got me my first real performance. I'm super nervous even though its just at a local club but this is a big deal for me.

"Kiana you ready?!" Stella shouts as her and Alexia wait in the living room. Today is the day of my performence. It is Friday so the beauty parlor is opened but stella insisted we both take a day off, she left MacKenzie in charge.

"I'm coming!" I shout back as I slip my light pink dress on( in the media). I rush to the living room and greet alexis. Who must have slipped in when I was getting ready.

We get to the Xenio Club. I see that its packed which makes me even more nervous.

"You ready kia?" Alexis asks as we park.

"Umm...ima just do me. Hopefully I don't embarrass myself."

"Of course you won't. Your hot and talented. What could be better?" Stella questions from the backseat.

"Yeah you'll kill it. No worries."

"Thanks guys, you guys are the best."

I smile and exit the car with Stella and Alexis right behind me. They really are ride or dies.
