I Found Him

Shane's pov

Since today was so calm and relaxing i decided to finally explore the woods behind our house. My name is shane dawson and i'm seventeen years old. I live with my mom, dad and brothers. (Shane's dad isn't abusive in this one shot). Now it was the weekend and all my friends were busy.

Now i'm walking through the woods....that's how bored i am. It was rather quiet and all i could hear was the leaves crunching under my feet.

I pulled my hoodie forward on my head since it was a bit cool outside but i kinda didn't care. For a second i heard something rustle in a tree near me.

I stopped in my tracks and i looked around. The silence returned and i was a tiny bit frightened. I slowly kept walking and i was now a bit more alert.

Now a loud rustling past from tree to tree. At first i thought it was just a couple squirrels but the way the trees shook it was way too heavy.

Shane: Is someone there?

I was now looking around trying to find the source of the rustling. From tree to tree my eyes darted back and fourth at a quick pace and i heard a feint whimper. I saw a small silhouette cross through the branches and it looked like a....human.

The rustling was moving in a different direction and i quickly followed it with my curiosity at its peak. Suddenly i heard a branch snap and a body fell to the ground. I gasped and ran to the person checking to see if he was alright.

I got closer and i figured out it was a boy. He didn't look too young but he was definitley younger than me. I got closer and i observed his features. He had chocolate and blonde hair that looked dirty and rough. He had a small adorable face but it was covered in dirt. He had on a worn out sweater and jeans and i could tell his shoes were too small. He was crying but i couldn't see any broken bones or scratches.

Shane: Are you alright?

I walked towards him and he scooted backwards sticking his hands forward and i realized he was scared.

Shane: Hey don't worry i'm not gonna hurt you, i just wanted to see if you were ok.

I gave him a soft smile and he slowly put his arms down as he looked at me. I slowly walked towards him and i kneeled down to be eye level with him. I then noticed his emerald green eyes they were so beautiful. But reality just slapped me. This boy has been in the woods for lord knows how long.

Shane: Can you talk?

He nodded and put his head down as i finally got close enough to touch him. I then noticed his torn shirt and his ribs were clearly visible. Aww poor thing he's probably hungry I need to help him and that's what i'm going to do.

Shane: Can i take you to my house?

He cocked his head to the side and he looked at me as if i was stupid.

Shane: Do you know what a house is?

He shrugged and i sighed shaking my head. This is gonna be a bit difficult but i'll deal. I stood up and he whimpered when i started walking away.

Shane: Come on follow me.

I made hand jestures to follow me and he slowly stood up coming after me. He stood next to me and i was about three inches taller than him. He actually looked so cute but he needed to be cared for before i think about flirting.

We got to my house and thankfully everyone was out working today. I pushed him in through the backdoor and he looked around astonished.
