'Where exactly are we?' The interior of the wooden structure was homely and vibrant, much different than the grimy backroom of the tiny lounge. My steps echoed throughout the foyer and seeped into the rest of the rooms.

Most of the members crashed onto the couch in the large living room, sighing contentedly while staring at the television set switched on. I stood awkwardly at the front, not knowing if I should follow them in or pretend like I know exactly where to go. The crackle coming from the fireplace rose above the silent whispers and laughter from the men.

One of the 'rabbit men' with scarlet red hair and a kind face turned towards me with a smile lighting up his features.

'You can come in. Don't worry, we're not the ones who bite.' His words unnerved me, but I quickly removed my shoes and walked a few paces until I was standing in the doorway of the living room.

At that moment, a thud came from the stair landing, followed by a muffled groan.

'Min-ji must be awake, make some room for her.' It was one of the brunette's turn to speak out. The rest of the members shifted positions to one side of the leather couch.

I couldn't believe the beauty that crashed down the stairwell, mumbling incoherent words to herself. She stubbed her toe on one of the staircase posts, crying out in pain.

'Son of a-'

'Hey! Look who's up, it's our little sunshine. Come sit with us Minji.' The blonde headed, short tempered man beckoned her over as the rest merely faked a smile.

The young woman, although she only came up to my breasts, immediately eyed them with suspicion. Her strides were menacingly slow, her eyes raking each and every person standing in the room. A curly strand of strawberry blonde hair hung loosely in her rounded face. The pink in her lips contrasted with the rest of her pale complexion, and she seemed to constantly look angry.

'What do you need this time?' Each word was sharp like a dagger as they all flinched when she took a seat next to them.

'Don't know what you're talking about, we just wanted to introduce you to someone.'

Briefly, her hazel gaze swiveled to the spot I had been standing in. The scowl on her face only deepened.

'What's a human doing here?' The socks on her feet slipped off almost instantly when she hopped up on the seat. Her short legs dangled off the edge of the couch and if I hadn't known any better, I would've mistaken her for a 10 year old girl.

'Why don't you ask your boyfriend? He'd be happy to answer.'

A loud smack resonated throughout the room, followed by a yelp of pain.

'How many times do I have to tell you, he's not my boyfriend!' Minji's face turned a dark shape of vermilion, almost like a ripe strawberry. Her fist made contact with the shoulder of the one who had made the remark. Crossing her arms, she stared into the box of the tv while she sniffed.

'He's not my boyfriend...' As if she needed to reassure herself, she began to speak lowly to herself in a grumble that earned a snicker from another brunette.

'Yes, we got it Minji. We were just messing around.'

'Idiots...'

I turned away from the tiny dispute and decided to see if I could sneak away quietly instead. The floorboards beneath my feet creaked faintly, so I took lighter steps towards the base of the stair case. I made my way up to the landing and continued to go on until the first story was out of sight completely.

The only light coming into the darkened hallway was from the moon shining into the transparent windows. My elongated shadow moved just a swiftly as I had, changing form as it came into contact with door frames and pictures hanging on the walls.

None of the doors had been locked but I pushed down the urge to open every single one, instead going to the door farthest down.

The fingertips of my hands approached the door knob and ghosted over it for several seconds. A loud moan startled me as I darted back the way I came from. I hadn't stopped until I reached downstairs onto the entrance of the living room again.

I placed a hand on my beating heart, closing my eyes to calm my nerves down. A hand came down to rest on my shoulder and I jumped back on end.

'Whoah, I just wanted to introduce you to everyone, cool it.' Minji grabbed hold of my arm, leading me further into the room until I was standing behind the couch with the other boys watching the television without interest.

'Oy! I bet she doesn't even know your names, so let's get on with this and I can get back to sleep.' She turned the palm of her hand out towards the member closest to us.

'The red-headed one is Jimin, he's the biggest dumb ass of us all.'

Her finger pointed to the next.

'The tall brunette is Jin, he leads most of our investigations if you will. Blonde headed shorty next to him is Yoongi, he's a whiny pansy so I wouldn't get on his bad side.'

Sleepily, all three turned their heads and smiled at her; it was a sugary kind, filled with hatred I was sure.

'Hoseok is the one who's asleep and Jungkook is our dead weight. He's much too young to come with us on some expeditions. He stays home and tends to whatever Taehyung's got planned for him.'

'Taehyung...?' Confused, I tilted my head slightly, looking at Minji for the answer.

'Yup, we've got a brainless leader who spends more time smoking than taking care of business. He lives on the very upper story, but I wouldn't enter his room without permission. A human might not have a strong enough stomach for that kind of stuff.'

Walking over to the other side, she sat on Jin's lap and continued to pick out the split ends in her long hair.

'Are you not all human?'

'I would've thought you'd be smart enough to figure that one out. Listen, it's very simple so I'll explain it to you. There's two types of blood suckers who live in this part of town; the Illex's and Allaria's. Illex's have a more feral nature, they tend to bite more and are aroused when the moon changes from one phase to another major one. On the other hand, Allaria's are a bit more passive-aggressive. You can only 'turn into a vampire' if you're technically bitten by an Allaria. Looks like you've got a bite mark, but don't worry, Taehyung is an Illex, so you won't be going through any painful transformations or any of that crap. However, all 6 of us are Allaria's so I would steer clear of our paths if you have an open wound of any sort, otherwise we won't jump you or anything for no reason.'

My head spun with the dizzying information and I had to lean against the couch for support.

'You're looking a little pale Ji-U, should we show you to your room?' Jimin spoke from the other side while twisting his head to look at my hunched figure.

'You already have a room for me? Was this all planned?'

'Geez, humans are more dense that I thought.'
