Our table had twinkling lights hanging from the top of the table that matched the mood of this whole restaurant. We sat down, me in between Jacob and Sam. The rest of the crew had dispersed throughout the long table. Fin sat right in front of me, and then there was Dylan on his left and Tyler on his right, etc. Everyone one was quite, which I didn't expect.
The waiter, a small, blonde ponytailed girl, came to take our order. I ordered a sweet tea (iced tea) with an extra lemon. The order continued. When the waiter came back with our drinks, waiter asked if we were all on a bill, and before anyone could even open their mouths, Sam told her that he would pay. I think it's safe to say that everyone was stunned.
Tyler actually started choking on his coke.
We all stared at Sam as he nodded politely to the waiter and then took a sip of his drink, nonchalantly.
I cleared my throat and looked at him, he looked back at me casually and nodded as to acknowledge my existence at all. I gave him a surprised look at which he responded with a shrug.
I just shrugged it off and turned to face everyone else. Jacob leaned over the table to get Sam's attention. When he got it, he thanked Sam, saying something like, "It wasn't necessary, but thank you". I felt so happy in this moment. My brother, and my... Boyfriend? I guess I could call him that? Anyways, they were getting along it made me really happy.
We all took a long look at our menu's, and then we ordered. I know Sam was paying for this meal, but really, he was using my parents credit card, so I guess my parents would be getting a hefty bill pretty soon. We ordered all kinds of things, from linguine, to spaghetti, to ceasar salad, to garlic bread. Lots and lots of garlic bread. I really don't know how we were going to eat this all though.
But who am I kidding? I was at a table, full of boys, so I think you can imagine the outcome was quite alright. It took a long time for the food to actually get to our table, but once it did, I didn't even get a chance to say 'bon appetite'. They were like piranhas, or the human version of them. In 10 minutes flat, the platters in which our food had been served on were swiped clean, and everyone was digging in.
I know that eggplant linguine sounds disgusting, but it was honestly so good. There was also an amazing garden salad that was piled onto my plate, courtesy of Jacob and his massive helpings of food.
I think I had like 5 million tastings throughout the meal because everyone just let everyone else try stuff from their own plate. It made me feel just super included, and I loved every second of it.
By the time all the plates were filled, our little blonde waitress came back with dessert menu's. Personally, I thought for sure that no one's goin to order dessert. We're way too stuffed. Ha! Was I wrong about that...
We were served with 6 different cheesecakes. Yes, I said 6. There was a marshmallow creme(which, personally, was the best by far), caramel ripple(which wasn't too good, but still it was good), Berry bomb(This one was good, but still not surpassing the marshmallow one), dare devil double trouble daunting delicious coco mania(a mouthful, I know) Cherry chomper(this one was the worst by far, I'm just saying), and lastly, pumpkin apple extravaganza(it just reminded me of Thanksgiving too much).
Overall though, it was a successful meal. Mom and dad's credit bill went through the roof, but that's none of my business. I even got to share a bite of cake with my cutie. That was just wonderful.
Everybody got up and filed out in a neat fashion. I waited for Sam to pay, which took him forever to do. Jacob stayed behind too, because he's just that wonderful. We all made our way to the outside deck. It was quite beautiful tonight. The stars were so bright, and the moon cast a natural glow on every bodies silhouette. I felt arms literally swoop me around and then a pair of warm lips lock onto mine. It was pretty dark out but none the less I knew who it was. I fouls till t aste some of the marshmallow cheesecake we'd shared. I smiled and tried to keep my lips together at the same time, but it didn't work. I let go and just started laughing. I gave him a hug and his voice box rumbled. It was such a nice feeling.
