Pessimism

The song is christian. The point of it for me is to turn those who are pessimistic to see life through optimistic eyes. Here is a picture of Eleazar

Jasper's POV:

       This child will put all of us in danger. I find it pointless in protecting her when she will become a danger to all beings. She came so close to killing me not to long ago. If Alice didn't take the blow for me I would be dust by now. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust where it all ends. Alice thinks the girl is worth protecting and she doesn't think she will hurt anyone. I don't believe that.

      The girl's blood is the sweetest I have ever smelled. If she didn't have dog smell all over her I would have tried to take a bite out of her. Why couldn't the dumb mutts just let her die like she was supposed to three years ago? Now I'm waiting for Carlisle to decide whether we should protect her or not. Bella suggested we put it to a vote. So we agreed. First to say yes or no was Nessie. "She needs us. She's my new friend. I don't want the Volturi to take her away or kill her. So I vote yes." She announced to us.

"Renesmee's right we shouldn't just hand her over to the Volturi." Bella intervened, defending her daughter. Emmett voted yes immediately.

"I think she should be changed before they come here. So she can protect herself if it comes to a fight." Emmett explained grinning. I shook my head at that. If she is changed, she will be a deadly threat to anyone within 3 miles of her. No, the girl should be destroyed.

"No" Alice gasped. She grabbed my hand out of fear. Everyone looked at her. Her eyes shifted from vacant to clear. She faced me and glared. "Jasper, this girl deserves a life just as much as the rest of us. If you are planning on taking matters in your own hands, I promise you, you will regret it." She snarled at me. Dumb visions.

       It was Edward, Esmee, me, and Rose who voted no. Carlisle, Alice, Emmett, Renesmee, and Bella voted yes. Esmee's reason was the werewolves. She thinks that they will protect her better than we would even bother too. Edward had a different reason. "When she used her gift on me, I felt this power or spirit come in me and take a portion of myself. She may actually want to join the Volturi if they offer her something she desires. But I don't know the girl very well she may not want to be apart of their coven." Edward explained, shaking his head. Rose felt that she will bring to much destruction if we try to save her.

"But this girl has came across the country to find us. She came to us broken and bleeding, barley able to breath. Lelani came to us for help and you four want to just turn your backs on her just because you're afraid." Bella said strongly. Edward growls lowly. We heard her human heart beating as she ran to the house.

"Jasper since you brought this up I want you to go talk to Lelani. Tell her about the Volturi and ask her if she still wants our help." Carlisle ordered in a low voice.

    I took a deep breath. Alice patted my back, encouraging me. I walked out of the house without turning around. I sat on the bottom steps and waited for the girl. I began to imagine different ways to make everyone happy. I know how to save my family from this dangerous child. I can kill her in less than a second. No one would even be able to stop me.  As I waited for the girl, I thought of different ways to protect her for the sake of my family. I thought of ways to keep Alice and everyone else safe from her. I looked up when I felt her emotions. So many different emotions flying around in her. I took a deep breath and said. "Relax" I said the word to low for her to hear. The word was more of a reminder for me. I looked into her eyes. She was afraid of me. I didn't like that. The fact that I'm afraid of this little girl is dumb to those that don't know what I've seen. But to me to see her fearing me was completely ridiculous. She could use my gift against me. "We need to talk." I finally said.
