Alec's POV:

Traveling all over the world is probably the only benefit to being on the front line of the Volturi guard. To Jane this was her third favorite part. Watching her enemies fall to their knees in pain and scream for her to stop was her second favorite. But her most favorite part to being apart of the Volturi is Aro. If Aro didn't praise her and love her like a daughter then she would never have stayed. But to be honest we both feel like we owe Aro our entire existence for saving us from being burned at the stake. Some days I wonder what the world would be like if we died when we should have. Sighing I realized the world would be a better place without vampires.

As we came out of the Portland airport, I realized how strange it feels not wearing my regular clothes. Jane seems to enjoy wearing skinny jeans. I miss my black clothes. Jane seemed to be irregularly cheery as we came to the hospital Aro paid for. It's expensive and comfortable. Jane loves those kind of places. She says it makes her feel like royalty. I rolled my eyes when she said that.

When we made it to the hotel room, Felix opened the door for us. He frowned at us. His bottom lip had a little blood on it. I laughed a little. "You feed without us?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

"How rude." Jane trilled in her annoying singing voice. We stepped into the room. We enjoy teasing our so called brothers. Felix rolled his eyes as he turned his back on us. Jane closed the door behind her.

Demetri was cleaning up their feeding spree. Three young women were being chopped up into pieces. He broke the bones and ripped each tooth out easily. This was the annoying part of being a vampire: clean up. The hard part is trying to make the death either look like an accident or do what Demetri is trying to do make it so impossible to tell that their was a death that you can't even identify the humans through dental records. Back in Voltera we don't have to worry about the clean up part. The younger vampires do that for us. "On our way here we stumbled across a helpful vampire. He runs an underground feeding house for vampires, that's how we got the humans." I understood the logic in Demetri's voice and words but Jane was still upset that they didn't get her someone to drink. Honestly, the little princess needs to learn when to get her hands dirty.

"So this newbie came with you?" I questioned in a joke.

"What?" Jane screeched from the bathroom. She used her power to make the newbie scream. He was crawling on the carpet toward me and Felix. Demetri managed to get the bodies into a box. He picked up the box and walked up to Jane.

"Jane, come with me if you want to get lunch." Demetri shouted over the dark haired vampire's screams. Jane turned and grinned at him. The vampire was panting when she left. If we were outside she would have kicked dirt in his face. Jane wasn't always so heartless and I wasn't this much of a killer.

Alec human age 14 and  Jane human age 12

Jane and I were climbing in a spruce tree when mother called us to dinner. We were watching the sunset. Jane's soft brown eyes were her pride and joy. Now that it's gone she feels lost without it. She misses my brown eyes too. But they weren't as big and nice as hers. Anyway our older sister Clara who was 17 was coming home from her ladies in waiting classes. Now our father was trying to find a man that wants to buy her off him to be Clara's husband. Jane found the idea disgusting but our mother found it romantic.
