When I wrote the prologue I felt that I needed to get to the point instead of enjoying each word I wrote so I am writing this the preface. I felt that I needed to write Nemo's POV just to get an idea of what is going through his head. I actually never thought about going through his head until I started listening to the Breaking Dawn audio book Jacob's POV today. So here is the Preface it takes place after they left Charlotte and Peter's house.
The song is christian but I felt it goes with the theme.

Here's a pic of Nemo who is Jesus Navas a Spaniard soccer/football player.

Preface : Nemo's POV
After leaving the leeches house, Lelani decided to bug me about how slow I am compared to her when she uses her dumb sponge gift on me. Lelli really knows how to get on my nerves. She's a nice girl but I really do just see her as a sister. The days go by as Lelani complains about sleeping on the dirt or in the trees. We can't check into a hotel because I don't have any credit cards. The vampires' house was the only time Lelani and I had a normal human meal. We were in Zender, Texas when Lelani decided to go to a near by homeless shelter to feel human for one day and night. It was a women and children's homeless shelter so I wasn't allowed in. To be honest, I didn't mind getting some space from the little girl.
As I ate some beef jerky, a business man gave me when I was sitting on a bench beside the shelter Lelli was in, I began to wonder what life would have been like if me and my grandmother never found Lelani that day. Would she have survived? No, of course not. Those kids caused to much internal bleeding from all of their kicking as if kids know any better way of fighting. Usalk said that our ancestors have been waiting centuries to find a soul pure enough to give their powers to. Helen thinks Lelani is part werewolf. The omega of our tribe, Kiowa thinks she is some kind of super hero or villain he's an idiot. Why is everyone all hung up on this little girl? She's just a human that got a gift that is powerful. This kid doesn't know how destructive she can be until something bad happens. I don't think she even remembers the bad things she does when she uses her gift. Sure there are good things out of it but this gift has a dark side. I wish I could protect her from it. But I can only do so much. I'm not a superhero bodyguard.
Lelani's age 12 POV:
It feels so good to eat food and take a shower. After I was dry, I put on my favorite outfit Charlotte gave me. I am wearing a v-neck purple blouse with a long-sleeved shirt underneath and light blue skinny jeans that were boot cut style. I only have two pairs of shoes: brown hiking boots and black running shoes. I decided to wear the hiking boots. It doesn't match but that was the point. I can't look like a rice homeless girl no I need to blend in.
I don't care that there are a few rats and roaches crawling around. Honestly they were nothing compared to the snakes, bears, crocodiles, and other dangerous creatures. It felt so nice to talk to someone that was human. Tally wasn't much of a talker and I don't remember really enjoying being with my own kind. To be honest when I was hanging out with Peter and Charlotte I began to feel comfortable around them until I realized what they do.
Every life is important. If we didn't have trees, we wouldn't have clean air. If we didn't have people, vampires would be extinct. If we didn't have werewolves, humans would be fighting for their lives. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. - Maya Angelou
