"You have a charm spell," Saber frowns, unhappy with the way it could affect the fight. Lancer smirks his lance going atop his shoulder in a playful relaxed manner.
"Apologizes. But I am afraid it's a little curse I was born with. There's really nothing I can do about it. Blame it on my birth or the fact that you were born a woman." He mocks with that smile of his, those golden eyes dancing.
"Surely you don't believe that a pleasant face or a charming swagger will save you from the bite of my blade, spearman." Saber snaps back at him, not out of anger to show her annoyance.
"I certainly hope not. It would spoil the fun. I see now that the tails of the Saber-class magic resistance were accurate." Lancer says, eyeing the blonde warrior. "Very well. I prefer not to kill a girl who is throwing herself at me anyways. It would sully my reputation. I am pleased that my first opponent is made of stern stuff." He readies his spear at his side.
"Oh, so you desire a fair fight? I consider myself fortunate to encounter such a strong and proud hero." Saber taunts him going to enjoy beating him, and thinking less of her due to her sex.
"Then let us begin."
The tension thickens as the two battle it out with their weapons. Golden light flashing between their blows. The ground taking a beating from the blades. Saber's hair is clipped the tip of Lancer's spear as she dodges his attack.
Unknown to the group below Kiritsugu and Maiya were atop the containers looking for the Master of Lancer who had put up a barrier spell. Maiya went to get the highest vantage point.
"Saber is watching both spears simultaneously. Lancer's greatest advantage is his opponent's uncertainty as to which he will use." Irisviel thinks nervous for her Servant, and for what Lancer will do.
"What's wrong Saber? You're on the defensive." Lancer taunts as she defends against his blows without attacking herself.
She charges at him her invisible blade bouncing and sliding aginst his spear as she comes closer. Lancer jumps away from her, on the defensive now and they stare at one another. A cut appears beneath his left eye, a red line to where her sword had cut him.
"Curse that blade of hers. Without knowing its exact length, I cannot get close enough to strike." Lancer wipes at the cut with his thumb angry at having been cut before he could land a blow. "The fact that she is able to repel my strikes so easily means that she must be a master swordsman."
Kiritsugu watches the battle through a sniper's lens and checks on Irisviel, worry in his eyes. The battle flashes blue and red with their continuous strikes. Then Kiritsugu turns his lens around and finds Lancer's Master atop a building watching the fight. He informs Maiya of the location.
He aims to take him from his position but a strong wind stops him. He looks behind him and up to spot Assasin, a different one that died, atop the railing watching the fight as well. It confused both of them since Assasin was presumed dead at Manor.
"There is really no honor in a battle fought without a proper exchange of names. But allow me to offer my regards," Lancer says with a slight smile. The two Servants had a good distance between them on the broken field of their battle. "It's impressive for a woman to fight so hard without even breaking a sweat."
"You needn't be so humble, Lancer." Saber smirks, a glare in her eyes. "Even without my knowing your name, those words from such a master of the spear do me honor. I gratefully accept them."
"That's enough fun, for now, Lancer." A male voice over a megaphone startles them out of the battle mindset.
"Lancer's Master?" Irisviel looks around frantic, fear in her eyes.
