Karsyn's POV
I leave the Lady Irisviel and Saber to join another Master. I ride my bike, helmet on towards Lord Archibald's home in an apartment building in the center of town. I parked my motorcycle in front of the building and walked inside getting quite a few looks from security but no one stopped me. I took the elevator up and up till I reached the Lords abode. I stepped into the place and found Lancer kneeling in front of him. The Lord looked quite angry and I went over to the master and bowed. Waiting for him to tell me to rise, and it better be soon because I hate to bow.
"Why didn't you finish off Saber when you faced her? Not just once but twice? You made me waste a command seal but still couldn't finish the job." The Lord snaps angry and I feel myself grow impatient with him already. "Was your encounter with Saber that much fun for you?" He mocks and I clench my fists at my sides.
"It wasn't like that Master. I swear on my honor as a Knight and a servant of the Holy Grail Wars I will bring you Sabers head." Lancer says meaning every word.
"You don't need to swear to me again! Of course you will! You made a pact with me to defeat the other Master and servants for the Grail! And now you sit there like a sniveling fool swearing to bring me the head of Saber. What about this do you not understand?! " He snaps and I bit my tongue not daring to say a word to defeat Lancers honor even though I disliked him.
"Aren't you the one who is mistaken, Lord El-Melloi?" Lady Sola-Ui says walking in and standing next to me, I stand as well and step behind her. She didn't even give me a glance.
"Sola-Ui..." Lord Archibald murmurs leaning back in his chair.
"Lancer actually did well. I'm afraid you were the one who the mistake." She says voice growing cold towards her fiancé. No love towards the one who she is going to marry.
"Saber is a highly skilled and powerful servant. I simply couldn't allow her defeat to pass me by, without trying." Lord Archibald defends.
"He inflicted a wound on her that cannot heal. By letting her go you can defeat her by your leisure. If you're that concerned about her than why didn't you go after her master? You merely stayed hidden and watched. Rather pathetic. Honestly Kayneth, it isn't that you don't understand your distinct advantage over the other masters, right?" She mocks walking around the till she stopped by his chair and leans on it. "You were the one who assured that. You made a special alteration to the servant-master pact that nobody else no anything about. You control command seals while I act as an additional Master and supply mana. You weren't the Evocation Divisions brightest star for nothing you know."
"But we must take care from the start." Lord Archibald says sweat on his brow as she leans against him.
"Must we now?" Lady Sola says. "So you'll hide while you make Lancer take all the risks?"
"Alright that is enough of that." Lancer says interrupting the Lady Sola-Ui. "Any more will be an insult to my Master. As a knight, I can't allow it." His voice was calm yet held a warning.
"No! I didn't mean it like that! I'm sorry, I over stepped my bounds." She says quickly smiling kindly at Lancer. So his magic was making her behave like this.
A fire bell rings and the phone begins to ring. I wait next to Lancer as the Lord answers the phone and tells us that someone has committed arson to the lower levels by setting fire to the building.
I wait as Lord Archibald explains how the intruder would have to get past demons, dimensions and many traps. I look out the window as the Lord sits down, sipping a glass of wine. Suddenly the building explodes and I go flying. Lord Archibald grabs his wife and protects himself with magic. I hit a wall as the ground beneath me crumbles. I look up and ketch Lancer's eye as I fall through the floor and towards the fire that is coming up towards me.
"Karsyn!" My name is screamed and I feel arms wrap around me. I wrap my own arms his neck as we go flying up and up. He jumps till we break free from the falling building and land on one nearby. We kneel against the ground and I look up at him; his golden eyes staring into mine.
"Lancer." I whisper and even in the shallow moon light I notice the slight blush spread across his cheeks.
"Are you alright, my Lady?" he asks and I nod slightly. And I look at his lips slightly. My hand held the back of his neck while the other rested on his chest; his own hands held me by my waist.
"I'm fine, Diarmuid." I answer and his eyes widen as I whisper his name. I feel his grip tighten on me and I find both of us moving towards one another. My eyes flutter but I ketch a glimpse of his curse just as his lips graze mine and I turn my head. "We should go find the Lord." I murmur and he nods in agreement. He helps me stand and we look at the burning destroyed building.
"I never noticed your own charm spell." Lancer says and I nod my head.
"Yes, I was born with it just like you but I never noticed its power till I was trained." I explain and let my finger rest under my left eye.
"The humans will be over the scene very soon, its best to wait." Lancer observes and I agree with a simple nod. I let my hand fall and turn towards the Servant.
He stares at me as well and I tell myself I was only going to kiss him because of his own curse. He seems to be thinking the same thing. I knew he was in love with another and I believed he fancied Saber as well. I feel his fingers graze my cheek, were my curse was.
He leans in and his lips graze my curse as he whispers something before vanishing in a cloud of light.
"I shall wait for you to call on me, Karsyn." His voice left as he did and I slap myself, knowing a blush is covering my face. I sit on the edge of the roof and wait till I would be able to serve my Master.
