"So ,have you found your mate yet ?" Charlie asked, while we take our seat in the cafeteria.
" nope, have you? " I said, as I scanned the place.
It was almost deserted, only few students were left. Most of the students were following the Apha and his son like an idiot as charlie said.
"So Im guessing the people left here were really just people" I asked her.
"guess so". she answered, while she looks to where im looking. then she suddenly snapped looking at me "Hey, If you haven't met your mate yet, and your not a non-shifter which means Your parents were not a wolves, where did you live and how did you live here ?" she then asked.
"I.. I'm
Im Adopted you know, My adopted parents were both wolves.
They really lived here." I answered almost in whisper but a wolf have a very good sense of hearing so I bet she heard that clearly.
"I won't say im sorry cause your still lucky to have parents on ur own ,even though you were just adopted." charlie said, looking really sad
I was takenback by her words. I never thought she'd be that vulnerable, but she suddenly smiled at me and said "hey, enough with this, I still gonna show you around , by the way what grade are you in? Im in senior ". She said, nonstop
"likewise" I smiled to her as I grabbed my things to leave. Its nice to have a friend on the first day of school,
err ..technically its not the first day since it was canceled.
"Its nice to have a friend at school". I said to myself.
My tour with Charlie lasted for 2 hours. Heck My feet are numb.
"So, I see you around and of course in English and History tomorrow" Charlie giggled
We found out that we have a few same classess, English , Math and History.
"Yeah, See you" I wave my goodbyes to her and walked away.
My house were just fifteen minutes away, if you'd just walk. I never bother asking Mom or Dad to fetch me. I know the're busy and besides Im a senior now for godsake, I can walk by myself.
