Charlie says she didn't meet her mate yet but why are we at jacob's house. Maybe Jacob was her mate.

"She's not my mate, My mate died three months ago" Jacob said.

Did I said it loud?

"stupid! stupid maddy!" I silently cursed myself.

there's an awkward silence...

BOO!!!

I almost fell to the floor, for a second, I thought ,I'm having a heart attack.

Charlie bursted into the kitchen with a wide smile on her face. I gave charlie the I-will-kill-you look.

"Did I missed something" she said sitting beside me while she grabbed some pizza.

"playing innocent "I thought.

Both jacob and I hadn't say a word.

"Hey earth to the two of you, Im here talking to you guys" she said while she waves her pizza exaggeratedly in the air.

Jacob stood and walked away.

"Hey, where is he going" charlie asked me and took a glance at jacob.

"Come on break is over" I said pulling her to stand.

"what???? but we just got here"

I rolled my eyes at her.

"Its been 33 minutes since we've got here. You just didn't notice cause you we're sleeping " I told her after looking at my watch.

We walked over to the couch and grabbed our things and then, I saw jacob walking down the stairs.

"Black really suits him" I thought.

"Hey jay jay !come on walked with us". charlie said enthusiatically

Charlie surely dont know when to stop. Isn't she?. Poor charlie's mate who ever he maybe. I sighed.

The day was almost over and I still didn't see my brother Ethan.

Great! that would only mean. We don't have the same classes.

And then I saw jacob leaning against the corner of the lockers in the hallway.He had his earbuds both on his ears. On the other hand some of the students we're looking at him especially, girls.

"I couldn't blame them. He really is gorgeous"I said with a shurugged but then I quickly erased it in my thoughts.

for wolf spirit's sake! Maddy he's not your mate.

"But I wish he is"

woah! we're did that thought came from.

"who lives in pineapple under the see, spongebob squarepants".

I feel my cheeks burning in red as I heard my phone's ringtone. Thank goodness no one seems to hear it.

Ethan! I greeted my teeth. He was the only one who can change my phone's ringtone. He always sneeked into my room.

I look to see who was calling me and guess what?

Its Ethan!

"Hello, Spongebob" I said sarcastically

I heard him laughing on the other side of the line.

"very funny ethan " I said

"Told ya sis, the war has just begun" he said still laughing.

"so childish" I thought but find myself smiling.

"Is that the best you can give huh" I said challenging him.

"ohh! Im so scared of my little tiny sister" he said mimicking a girl's voice.

"Just watch and see Ethan ,by the way where are you? "

"Im here at the parking lot waiting for you get here fast, Im so dead hungry"

"Yeah yeah, You're always hungry anyway just wait for a sec. Im on my way. " I said cutting him off.

I closed my locker and locked it. suddenly I feel someone was watching me.

I looked around and my gaze fell down on jacob. He was giving me weird look.

I looked to my back to see if I was really the one he was looking at.

No one was at my back .I looked to him again but jacob was gone.

I shrugged my shoulders and walked to the parking lot.

"hey! "

"hey yourself" I said while I climb at my brother's car.

"Did you change your perfume Sis"

"huh? what perfume? no ! why?" I said giving Ethan a weird look as I closed the door behind me.

"Really? , you smells so sweet today, like lemon and grass with a hint of strawberries" He said leaning to me and sniffing me in.

I pushed him.

"very funny ,yesterday I stunk now I smell like strawberries to you"

" yeah, I totally forgot you stinks sis" he said smirking again.

"whatever, just drive the car" I said leaning at my seat.

"what's happening on earth now, charlie just said those words earlier " I thought closing my eyes.
