"Earth to Maddison Ray" Ethan said, while waving his two big hands at my face.

"What the heck!" I shouted, Ethan brought me back to reality again.

Im now slapping his arms for suffocating me with his huge hands over my face a while ago.

"Hey, I was only trying to bring you back to your senses". He said, while defending himself from my massive slapping.

"whatever"

"Ahm.. Maddy? "

" Yeah" I said while rubbing my sore feet.

"Did you washed today? cause you know what sis, you stinks"

"what?! I do not! " I said, horrified by his comment. I know I dont smell or anything ,but I really can't help myself ,I sniffed my clothes on and smelled nothing unusual.

"Ting! Ting! who's the wolf here?, I can smell you from a far" He said to me, with his serious expression.

My eyes got bigger than its usual size, Seriously? I don't smell anything bad.

"Go get upstairs and take a quick shower and try to get some sleep too. You looked really tired". He said, concerns are now visible in his blue eyes ,goodbye with the joyful glint.

I now get what he meant, He just want me to take some rest, but he can't say it directly without looking less of a macho, I sighed with relief knowing I dont really smell bad.

Hmmp boys!!! who ever says, girls are complicated.

I stood up from my lazy position, grabbed my bag and playfully smacked Ethan on the face.

" Know what? you can just simply tell me that I looked like a mess than telling, I smell bad" I said to him.

"Well I wanna see those big brown eyes got even bigger, Its funny you know, its a shame you didn't see how horrified you are. " Ethan said back with his mischievousness

"Very funny, Ha ha ha "

I walked towards the stairs and saw the other pillow I threw to him on the floor.

"Ethan ! "I called to him

The moment he turned his head:on me, I threw the pillow to him

"Wha- "

Bingo!

I got him straight on the face. He was stunned for a moment and I take that chance and stormed to my room laughing.

My heart is pounding fast ,as I closed the door behind me and rest my body on it.

"Gotcha Ethan" I said by my simple victory.

As the saying goes, Dont Get Mad, Get Even .

I put my bag on the bed and took off my dress and went to the bathroom.

I heard Ethan shouts downstairs.

"Go on, laugh as much as you want lil sissy, The War has just begun"

I almost smiled on his ranting.

Ethan and I were very closed since the day they had found me on the road.

I looked in the mirror and let my mind go back to the memories.

*flashback*

I woke up in a strange place. Im lying on a very comfortable bed with white covers on it. The curtains were also white. The windows were open letting the cold breeze in.

When I was about to get off the bed, I fell back , my entire body hurts like hell especially my feet, then I remember, there was a car it was about to hit me but it suddenly stopped and a man and woman escaped from it. I remember, they asked for my name and lift me to the car and everything's gone

Someone knocked to the door and opens it afterwards.

"are you feeling better now dear?" said the lovely woman standing in front of me, while holding a tray of delicious food. just then I realized my stomach was growling for food. I unconciously licked my lips.

Then I saw a head peeking on the door, no it wasn't just a head, Its a boy.

He was peeking on us. Then the woman saw me looking at the door. She turned around to see what I was looking at.

"Oh! Ethan, come here honey" the woman said to the boy gesturing him to come over.

The boy then reluctantly come forward ,he stood beside the lovely woman.

" Is she ok now, Mommy? " the boy asked the woman , who turns out to be his mum. I just watched them in silence afraid to utter a single word.

"I guess so baby" she answered the boy. Then she looked at me and said "here eat this so you'll gain your strength again" putting down the tray on my lap.

I looked at the two people in front of me and gazed down the food on my lap. There was a bowl of soup, a bread and a glass of water. I heard my stomach let out a small growl.

The boy laughed, I bet he heard my stomach growled. and I feel embarrassed by it, so I looked away.

There was an akward silence..

The boy walked towards me, he was now standing beside my bed.

"Hello, Im Ethan Ray "He said with a wide smile on his face.

I looked at him and then to his mum. They are both smiling at me as if urging me to talk.

"I..

I..

I'm Maddison "I finally manage to say.

Then his smile got even wider.

The woman walked beside him and patted my head.

I smiled to them.

"Where do you live maddy? why are you lying on the road. Dont you have a family" The boy said continuously.

"Honey, Maddy is not feeling well, Let her eat first ,we'll talked about it later." said the woman to Ethan.

" I dont have a home, I run away from my aunt because she was going to sell me in the pub and both of my parents were dead " I said while eating the bread as if the words I spoken was not a big deal.

"Oh dear " the woman exclaimed to my awful situation.

"Dont worry ,we will be your new family " Ethan said to my great suprise.

he looked at his mum, " Dont we Mommy?"

The woman looked at me and to his son.

"But of course, do you want me to be your new mum? " She said.

No one can replaced my mum, but its not bad to have another mum right. and so I nod at her.

"Great, Thanks mum. I'll be your big brother, I promised I'll protect you" Ethan said while holding my hands. I just smiled at him.

Then I noticed a man standing at the door. "How long had he been there? Is he the father of Ethan? Will he accept me? "I kept asking myself.

Then he moved towards us

"Hey, I wanna be part of the party, Hows my new daughter doing? "He said smiling directly at me.

My worries fade away and now exchanged by beautiful smile on my lips.

"Welcome to the family, Maddison Ray" My mum said

I'm now Maddison Ray.

*End of flashback*

I smiled as I remembered how Ethan has been a big part on how I end up with his family
