Greg P.O.V
Thanksgiving was one of my favorite times of the year; only after my birthday and Christmas.
Turkey. Potatoes. Pasta. Stuffing.
What else could you ask for in a meal? I couldn't wait to dig in tomorrow. I just love food man.
Every Thanksgiving my family along with Aiden's and Abby's come over for the feast. All our families were super close and made it a tradition to come together every year for Thanksgiving.
How cool is that huh?
I was brought back to my senses by Carmen McWaters; the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on. I like her even more than food; and that's a lot. Unlike my other crushes, Carmen was by far my biggest one.
Her jet black hair that reached her mid-back swooped over her eyes shading her sparkling blue eyes. She was small, petite, and flat out gorgeous. When I look at her giant hearts emerge from my eyes.
Wow...she stunning.
I've never really had a girlfriend before and it bothers me to an unreachable point. I don't know why? No matter how hard I try I just get rejected. Lucky me.
I mean...is it my face, my hair, my character? What is it?
"Uhh Greg?" Abby waves in my sight, snapping out of my thoughts. "Yeah?" I take my eyes away from Carmen.
"What are you staring at?"
I look up to stare at Carmen once again. Abby turns her head and jerks it back. "Do you like Carmen?" She holds back a smile waiting for my answer. I nod in agreement realizing it didn't matter if I told her.
Abby turns around and struts up to Carmen. She talks to Carmen for what felt like forever. Carmen shot darting looks at me with each one ending with a smile. Abby then makes her way back to me. My heart was ready to throw up at what she exactly said.
"What did you say?" I inquired. I wanted to panic.
She smiled devilishly. "Oh not much, have fun." She patted me on my back and leaves me hanging. "Oh and can't wait for tomorrow." She smiles. I watched her disappear around the corner. I turn back to see someone standing in front of me.
"Hey."

Thanksgiving is here and I'm kinda ready for Greg's massacre of the dinner table. I was also impatient to eat myself, but this year had a little twist to it. My mom invited her boyfriend Eric to the dinner. I really didn't mind, actually no one did. Greg's mom literally loves any type of company. I was also anxious to finally meet the man my mom has her eyes on.
The sounds of her heels clacking down the steps alerted me. She showed off this comfy dress that wasn't too formal or too casual. "Showing off for Mr.Eric." I flip through the magazine of the beautifully cooked turkeys.
"Derrick. It's Derrick, not Eric." She pursed her lips and raised her eyebrows. Well damn, my bad again. "Yeah yeah, sure. And when are we leaving." I whined. She explored through the jungle of her purse and applied some light lipstick. The red shade was crimson with a hint of darkness.
"As soon as they arrive, we can go." I had to stop and think to reprocess what she said. "Wait, they? Isn't it only Eric?"
