The white of the walls made the room shrink down to a tiny box. Light bounced off them as there was an everlasting reflection of a clear afterglow with the power to give one a headache. Aiden slept in the empty bed next to the window and James nearly joined him but dozed off on the chair.

I peer out the window to get a glimpse of the park across the horizon. It was dark and gloomy as the shadows revealed themselves with every flicker of light as they camouflage themselves in the darkness.

My eyes hurt from rarely blinking and forcing myself to stay awake. It was the middle of witching hours and the hospital seemed like the only bit of life in the city as the voices of nurses and doctors raked the lobes of my ears.

I watched the door in hopes of Abby's doctor not coming in and asking us to leave. Aiden's mom said it was up to Abby's doctor to be lenient with allowing us to stay the night. She certainly let us camp out but had no authority over the doctor's decision.

And then I look at her.

She was still amazingly beautiful. She was cleaned up and smelled of powder and an oil that was foreign to me.

Aiden's mom left for home but said Abby should wake up soon. And when she does I want my face to be the first one she sees.

Her father threw away all the trust and respect away he had for me. I deserve it though; I don't forgive myself for what I did and won't expect him to anytime soon.

I was scared because I thought I was gonna be a father. Her losing it brings even more tears to my eyes for what could've been. I just feel so bad she had to go through the pain of losing it.

Her parents had to leave since the twins were getting tired and her dad had something work related in the morning. Her mother was a good spirit to me and I appreciated the love she showed.

My hand. It grew warmer from the friction of another squeezing at it. I snap my neck to look at her and she was trying to open her eyes. She was waking up and it shook me.

I quietly shout at Aiden to wake him up and threw a plastic cup at James. Aiden woke up but James didn't and I didn't want to waste another plastic cup on him.

Aiden looked at Abby and shot up while snapping James out of his dreams; then he sat on the other side of her.

She grunted while squinting from how bright the room was. It took awhile but she finally could open her eyes all the way to see us.

"Kyle? Aidy? James? Is this real? Where am I?" She finally spoke and her voice ran laps in my brain. Its been so long since I heard her voice.

"You're safe in the hospital. How do you feel?" I said.

She wiggled her legs and arms and started to touch around herself. "A little stiff and my stomach hurts but I'm okay. How long was I asleep?"

"Its been a day since you got here but they put you to sleep. What is the last thing you remember?" Aiden asked and then chimed in with his own question.

"I wanna sit up first a little please. I can barely focus without staring at the ceiling." She looked at me and smiled which forced me to look at Aiden and James. I didn't expect her to look at me like that; it made me feel nervous.

Everyone laughed at me and my face grew red at my embarrassment. "Why are you guys laughing?"

"Because the bed controller is front of you." James laughed and so did Aiden and Abby again.

"Oh you're right. I'm so sorry, is this good for you." I leveled her at nice angle that she agreed with and she gave me a smile.

"Do you need me to get you anything else? Food? Water? Your doctor?"
