Chapter 14 - Mine

I slam my locker shut just like everyone else did. The slight vibration that is sent through my body caused my hand to tingle. The afternoon atmosphere was a little drowsy but lively.

I see Abby flirting with Kyle at his locker which became the new norm. I really love it when those two are together. They've been labeled the puppy lovers in the school because there always doing that nose rubbing thing. I guess its a little cute...kinda...maybe not.

I look further past them and catch a glimpse of Greg kissing Carmen. Carmen was really pretty and nice to basically everyone. She had to stand on her tippy toes to to get to his face. She grabs his hand and places something in it before strutting off. She reminds me of Abby minus the blonde hair.

"Hey."

I look over to the right of me and get tingly in my limbs. Every time I look at him I get that same weird sensation in my body. My legs feel weak and my heart gets going. He continues to give me those butterflies every moment were together.

"Hey whats up big head." I playfully jab at him. "Haha nothing. Abby and Kyle wanted to hit up TGIF after the movies tonight." He leans on my locker showing off his chubby yet built frame. I tried not to blush given the people around us. "Yeah, cool." I grin subconsciously, unaware of the approaching people.

"Hey James." Someone calls out. I look at the pair of guys that are walking towards us. I recognized them when they were about 10 feet away.

Nathan and Luke were the seniors that never worked and partied all the time. Being on the football team made them think they were above everyone else. They are the biggest jerks I ever knew and commonly used words like 'fag' or 'queer'. I made it my best effort to avoid them due to their bigotry. I don't know how James could be comfortable being around them with there homophobic insecurities.

The things that make it worse was that they are twins. Can you imagine that? Having two of the same people with those personalities around 24/7. I mean, they're just borderline rude and disrespectful to others. They constantly get into trouble and when one twin is in deep, most likely the other one is too. Definitely not my type of people.

They were identical but honestly its like their the same guy. Both had bold brown eyes with skin as tan as the beach and black wavy hair. I have no idea if their mom still dresses them or if they do it themselves because they're always wearing the same clothes as each other. The only difference between them is Nathan who has braces.

They grew closer and do did their smell. They smelled awful; like no shower a day in your life awful. Their stenches were boxing my nose off my face so bad I had to scrunch my nose due to the suffocating odor.

"Ehh, why the hell do you guys smell like that?" James didn't waste anytime asking. The twins didn't look the least surprised or even insulted. They just laughed together leaving James and I confused. I had to hold my nose shut and cover my mouth.

I absolutely REFUSED to breathe through my mouth because it would feel like I'm tasting their scent. Just gross.

"Nate betted me two hundred bucks that I couldn't go longer than him without taking a shower." Luke smells himself and I was surprised he didn't pass out. "Eww, what kind of bet is that?" I say covering my nose sounding like my face was stuffed. "A great one if you like money." Luke adds in a sly remark and glares evilly at me.

"Well we wanted to know if you wanted to hang out later tonight." Nathan says to James. Whatever they wanted to do tonight involved nothing productive I thought. "Sorry, I got stuff planned with my friends. Besides, you guys do nothing but get in trouble."

"Come on man, you've been hanging around with this twerp more than us lately." Nathan nonchalantly says it like I wasn't even there to hear him. "Yeah, Kyle too. Even though his girlfriend is super hot." Luke chimes in leaving disgust in my chest and face.
