P E R C Y
Before I began, Sadie put up some sort of shield so that nobody could hear us. It was very shimmery, but Sadie snapped at me not to touch it.
I told her about Camp Half-Blood, life at camp, the gods, and the quests I've been on.
I tried as best as I could to be modest, but Nico was no help whatsoever. He told Sadie about the fights I've been in down to the every single little detail. He made me look like some sort of hero.
So I returned the favor by telling Sadie about how Nico had dragged the Athena Parthenos halfway across the world to return it to the Greeks. I didn't mention much about Tartarus, since I didn't want to stir those old memories.
Sadie whistled, looking impressed (she should be), "Wow. I've only been in one major war." She told us about fighting Set, reviving the crazy sun god Ra, and capturing Apophis's shadow to defeat the giant snake.
"Wait," I said, making a time-out gesture. There was one thing I needed to know that she didn't mention, "Did you and Walt get together or what?"
Sadie reached over and punched me in the shoulder. "That's not the point!"
"What about Carter and Zia?"
"I'll tell you all about that later. Along with every single one of Carter's epic fails, but I think we have bigger problems."
"We do?" Nico asked, his hand reaching for his Stygian Iron sword.
Sadie pointed to Monster Donut, "That."
