Screen (A Joe Sugg fanfic)

I woke up to sleepy Joe still cuddling me in bed and Ash still resting by our entangled feet. My heart quickens and my lips form into a small smile my eyes wanting to softly fall again but knowing me I would wake up in another 3 hours if I did that. I sit up to make my feet touch the soft carpet and stretch my arms out wide with a big yawn just loud enough to make Joe stir in bed.

I grab a blanket, make a cup of coffee, and head outside onto the small balcony just outside of the bedroom with two small chairs, a table between them, and a singular, small, plastic plant resting on the table. I look at the view in front of me, everything is so neat and beautiful. My thoughts then got interrupted by the sliding glass window, I swing my head around to find Joe wrapped in the bed sheets. "Joe you got to be kidding me!" "What?", he asks not fully aware of everything. "I have to make my bed and it probably would've been easier if the bed sheets were on the bed!" "Good morning, Joe would be nice too.", he tiredly argued.

"Good morning handsome. I'm sorry, how did you sleep last night?", I said with a sweet voice and Joe responded with an approving grin but closed sleepy eyes. "I slept quite well last night, except for the fact that I was sleeping with someone who snores. Loudly!" I was surprised and shocked, he noticed my expression and with a sly grin he asked, "Guess which one of us it was."

"Well, it is impossible to hear yourself sleep, Joseph." He showed a blank expression, "Oh yeah." "So... Me?", I replied worriedly. "No, it's your dog." With that Ash ran to the screen door and started drooling over the clean glass.

"Do you want coffee before Caspar gets here?", he sat down in the metal chair next to me and shook his head with a quiet no. "I wish you could drive so you could just drive me back home.", he sighed scrunching into the bed sheets more. "In 2 weeks.", muffling into my blanket.

"Well, c'mon love let's go back inside its freezing out here.", I didn't feel it until now but the ice wind hit my face and I agreed, I got up and he took my hand walking back into the warmth. Ash welcoming us with energetic pouncing and frantically running around without an idea of where he is going. He set down the sheets back onto my bed and shared mine once we reached the couch. I lay on his chest "bum da bum" his heart replays I grin to myself, "I can hear your heart." His heart started beating faster my ear listened like a child being told a story, words came out of his mouth, his words were soft and quiet and I could tell that when we are not doing anything just being together I could feel safe for a thousand years staying in that position. "Your heartbeat just got faster.", I focus my gaze to his face and turned to a shade of pink.

"Uh, uh yeah...", I giggle at how cute he was while being awkward. He buries his face into the blanket, the doorbell rings and I get up to let Caspar in. "Hey, ready to take him home.", Joe shouted, "Stop treating me like a child!" "I can see that someone didn't get his nap today.", Caspar stated with a grin. Joe crossed his arms and put on a pout. I walk behind him and wrap my arms around him. He takes my hand and kisses it, I laugh into his neck.

"You guys are absolutely disgusting!", Caspar remarks loudly. Joe gets up kisses me and let's out a quiet goodbye and walks out the doorway. Caspar stands there because we both now he just walked out with pajama trousers, no shirt, and left his phone and jacket in my flat still. He comes back in with droopy shoulders and his head hung low he grabbed his jacket and put it on while also reaching for his phone, he then went into my bedroom to collect his clothes. He comes back in kisses me once more and brings me into a hug once more.

Caspar let's out a frustrated sigh, we let go of each other and Joe leaves the doorway with a last small wave. Caspar follows and closes the door behind him, Ash trots up to the front door whining and scratching on the white metal. I lay on the couch and smile like a fool at the thought of Joe.

Two weeks later

A ring fills my ear and Ash shoots towards the door. I push past him and open the door, Zoe stands before me with Alfie and they both say my name in unison. I chuckle, let them in, and both give them their own hugs. "What are you guys doing here!?" "Well I just found out that my best friend is dating my brother 5 days ago!", Zoe remarked and Alfie intervened saying, "She just dragged me along." Zoe playfully punched him on the arm and we all fall into laughter.

Joe and I just told everyone (except our viewers) that we are dating a week ago. Before that nobody knew about us except for Caspar and Joe concluded he had no friends so he wouldn't tell anybody. Most of the replies were positive and Joe and I were overwhelmed by all the happy, positivity from our friends.

"Now be honest with me, did you see me or Joe first?", I asked with a stare. "Of course we saw you first!", enthusiasm bursted through Alfie as he said that. Zoe calmed him down by saying, "Calm down there, besides we know why you wanted to come here first." As soon as she said that Ash skipped in and almost clobbered Alfie, jumping on him and licking his face. "Look like someone missed you.", I stated, "But we have to see, she has come to fancy Joe a lot." "Nah, I think she still prefers me over him, besides I known this little one since forever. No one could come between us.", it appeared that he was talking to us but really we all knew he was talking to the dog.

"Come sit down please! You want anything to drink?", I offered Zoe gladly accepted a glass of water as did Alfie. We talked about our YouTube careers, and Nala, and Joe.

"So how is everything with my brother?", Zoe asked me curiously, she sat next to me while Alfie sat on the floor with Ash. "Everything is great! We have such a great time with each other and we always have something to talk about.", Zoe listened attentively as I rambled on about how Joe is amazing. "You got to watch out for that one he is a tricky one.", Alfie interrupted, "Oh yeah! He will always scare you! It gets really annoying!", Zoe jumps in. "I know! Whenever I hang out with him I now need to always watch him to make sure he scare me!" We all laugh and talk about different things till the end of the night, Zoe and Alfie are staying in London for 2 nights and then heading back to Brighton.

When they leave Ash follows Alfie outside and I have to drag her in. I go back to my bed where I was before 4 hours ago before they surprised me.

I feel warmth and happiness fill through me as I think about every little detail about our Joe conversation and I know that this relationship might be the one I've been craving for.
