Skella POV
When Betty had finished reading that paragraph and the prophecy, I just sat there in awe. I turned my head to Tatum and she had her mouth wide open in shock.
In a few minutes, we all calmed down and Tatum stood up. Betty and I did as well."Wait wait wait! So let me get this straight. When the prophecy said that the player will have the power to come in contact with magma, does that mean they can touch lava without it hurting?" She asked.
Betty sighed a frustrated sigh. "We're you born yesterday? Of course that's what it means! Magma is lava. Coming in contact with something is touching something! They just wanted it to sound all fancy and stuff."
Tatum looked a bit hurt by that. "I was just wondering. Wow! You don't have to get so worked up about it."
Suddenly, I chimed into the conversation.
"Uh guys, I don't mean to wreck your conversation but I think we should go get the others, tell them about the egg, and get going." I explained.
Betty and Tatum's expressions softened. Tatum bent down and put the dragon egg back into her backpack while Betty out the book into her inventory.
We started off back into the village and tried not to look so suspicious while letting our eyes gaze over past people to look for Cree, Jade, Affinity, or Honey. My mind slowly faded out of where I was walking and thought about the prophecy. One will perish and a friend will have caused it. Who are they? I thought to myself. Then my mind drowned out of that thought and shifted over to the other part.
One of the players will have the power to come in contact with magma, and will have the power to summon a huge army. Is that Tatum? I mean she could touch the dragon egg without burning herself and she said she really likes the Nether. Is she born in Nether blood?
I suddenly felt someone grab my arm and pull me back in a violent motion. I snapped out of my thoughts and turned around. Tatum was clutching my arm with a drop of fear in her eyes.
"You almost walked into a lava pit!" She exclaimed.
"Oh what? Uh sorry." I said a little shocked at what I nearly did.
Tatum had a worried expression stitched onto her face. "Is everything alright?" She wondered.
"Uh yeah! I was just uh thinking." I stuttered.
"Well obviously. You weren't even looking at where you were going. I think you gotta sit down for a bit." She explained.
I chuckled. "Since when in the actual Nether are you caring?" I joked.
Tatum frowned. "I'm just worried for you. I'm not heartless y'know."
I sighed. "Let's just find the others and get going."
Tatum agreed. "I'm also wanting to go and buy somethings. Like food!"
I sighed again. "It's either sleep or food with you."
Tatum nodded. "Yep!"
Time Skip Tatum POV
I was looking around the village when I passed an armoury. But what really caught my eye was who was in there. Affinity!
I could see the person at the desk handing quite a lot of things to her and she handed him a small pouch of golden nuggets.
I went into the store and did what I normally did with people. I lifted my arm up and placed my elbow on her shoulder. Affinity turned her head in surprise and looked at me. I just gave her my happy smirk as a reply to her furrowed eyebrows and the way she wrinkled her nose.
