Chapter Twelve

Tatum POV

I awoke this morning to someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw Betty wide awake. "Tatum, it's time to get up! It's nine in the morning!" She said.
I groaned. "But I wanna sleep in."
"Well too bad. Come on!"
She pulled the covers off of me thinking that would help me get up but that just made me cold.
I swung my legs up out of bed and stood up.
"Let's go have breakfast." I said.
"Sure!" Betty answered.
We went downstairs and into the kitchen to have some pancakes.

Time skip

"Betty," I said.
"Yeah?"
"Do you wanna come with me to the skeleton camp?"
Her eyes lit up at that question.
"Sure! I'd love to!"
"Well then we'll leave in a few minutes." I said.
We cleaned the dishes, and got our stuff ready.

About an hour later we made it to the skeleton camp. I had to tell Pearl the information I got before we did anything else.
There were guards at the entrance of Pearl's tent but as soon as they saw me they let me through. But when I went in the guards pointed their swords at Betty.
"Hey! This is my friend! She's with me!" I said.
They put their swords down and let Betty through.
The tent was warm inside and had a lot of decorations hanging from the top and some more just on pedestals collecting dust.
Sitting on the bed was Pearl. She looked even more pale than before and seemed like she hadn't gotten any sleep. When she saw me her face lit up.
"Tatum! You're back! What information have you got? Is this the friend you were talking about?" Pearl was talking way too fast that I couldn't answer til she was done.
I explained everything about the enderboy and introduced Betty.
"Great! I think this attack is gonna go really well!" Commented Pearl when I had finished.
"Wait, what do you mean attack?" I asked.
"Well I'll tell you at our next meeting. By the way, it's in five minutes. We have to go." She answered.
Pearl, Betty, and I left the tent and went to the same place we went to before.

We just entered the meeting room where all the leaders were. We were the last ones again.
Pearl took her place and Betty and I sat on opposite sides of her. Betty looked kind of nervous in her seat and around all these people she didn't know.
"We have the information we needed now! All we need to do is plan the attack." Pearl explained in a loud stern voice.
"What's the information?" Asked a skeleton on the other side of the table.
"The ender tribe will capture all the biome dragons and kill them all except for the enderdragon. Once they kill all the dragons they will bring the ender dragon into the overworld and take over Minecraft." Pearl said.
"So then how are we gonna get into their secret lair without getting caught?" Asked another skeleton.
"My plan is to send Tatum and Betty to the lair and free all the prisoners. Then we will take our army and do the rest. Sound good?"
Everyone in the room raised their hands which meant they agreed.
"Then it's settled! We will prepare our troops to attack and Betty and Tatum will go to free the prisoners."
Everyone stood up and left.
We walked back to our tent and Betty and I got our stuff together.

Betty POV

That meeting was boring to me. I don't know why I had to come. Even though those paintings were interesting. I like all the tapestries that were hung. They were so detailed.
"Betty! Betty!"
I shook my head and saw Tatum holding some armour up for me to try on.
"Stop zoning out! I need you to put these on!" She said in an annoyed voice.
"Sorry! I was just thinking about Honey." I answered.
"Well you can stop thinking about her once we get her out. But before we get her out I need you to take these!" She held up the armour and I finally took it. It was mixed with diamond armour and bone armour. I guess that's what these skelowarriors wear when they go into battle.
I put them on and they fit perfectly. Next I grabbed my enchanted diamond sword, portal balls, and potions. I put the sword on my belt and the rest in my inventory.
Pearl came in holding bows and arrows for Tatum and I. We put them into our inventories and went outside. One of the guards had golden and diamond apples ready for us. (Diamond apples are in this book just for fun.) And another had cooked pork chops. We took all that and went on our way. I could feel the diamond sword swaying and eventually hitting my leg. I got used to it after a while.
"So how exactly do we get to the secret lair?" Tatum asked.
"With this." I held up one of the portal balls and threw it on the ground. It split and out came a blue portal. It rippled and made a low humming sound.
I grabbed Tatum's arm and jumped in. She followed me. I felt a weird sensation in my body and blue mist surrounded me. My eyes closed and I blacked out.
I awoke on the same cold hard floor as before and looked to my left. Tatum was there. I felt a little dizzy after that and had a bit of trouble of getting up. Tatum woke up about thirty seconds later and I helped her up.
I could see the same light around the corner from last time.
Without even saying something to me, Tatum walked to the light. She peaked around the corner and took her diamond sword out.
I drew my sword too and followed her. She disappeared around the corner. Just to be safe, I took out one of my golden apples and ate it quickly. Now I felt more confident.
I walked to the other side and saw Tatum walking down a long hallway. I followed her.
At the end of the hallway there was another corner. This time I went first. I gasped. There were three endermen. I ran out and stabbed two of them. The last one teleported away. Darn! Now they know we're here.
Tatum went infront of me and saw three doors.
I opened the first and couldn't believe what I saw.
