Chapter 27: Shooting Up Again

It was morning now, me and Naomi had just gotten back from the hotel. We had been walking all night. We talked all night and opened up to each other.

Naomi just left to go get breakfast for the both of us. I had just realize Brendan and Tommy were in the final 4. It was Tommy and Mad Dog, then Brendan and Koba. I knew Brendan was really stressed about all of it. He just wanted the money so the bank wouldn't take away his house. I was so proud of him and I had so much hope for him. I knew he could do it. I didn't know what I'd do without Brendan.

I got a call from Dana, "Hey you, I'm down in Atlanta City. Thought I'd let you know." Her soft voice spoke up. "Really?! You should come down to my hotel! It'd be great to see you!" I said excitedly. "Yeah I'll be there soon, text me the information." She said, hanging up the phone. I texted her the information and waited patiently.

I waited and I heard a knock on the door. I assumed it was Dana. I got up quickly and ran to the door opening it. "Hey! You're here!" I spoke letting her inside the nice hotel room. "Hey babe, I brought you something" She said, kissing me before pulling out the small bag of heroin. I froze and stared at it. I didn't know if I wanted to do that anymore. I needed to get my life together. "C'mon, let's do it. This stuff it way better then the last fix I got last time." She says putting the bag in my hand. I was so tempted but it didn't feel right. "Babe come on" She spoke softly kissing me before sitting on the bed.

"Alright, alright, one more time." I say sitting next to her, pulling out the bag and she did all the rest of the work. I rolled up my sleeve, revealing old track marks and some more recent ones. I tied the rubber band around my arm. She handed me the heroin filled syringe. She had already shot up. I stared at it for a while before I stuck the needle in my vein gently. Before I did anything else, Naomi walked in. I froze.
