Ch.6 hang out

After the second night you went back to your place and as usual you started to sleep. Around 11:00am your phone started to ring, waking you up immediately. Groggily you answered.
"Hello?"
"O-oh um hi (y-y/n)" it was Jeremy.
"Hi Jeremy, what ya need." You yawned a bit, stretching out your arms.
"I w-was wond-wondering if y-you wanted to h-hang out?" He asked shyly.you giggled
"Of course! How bout we go to your house or something?"
"Uh y-yeah, but what I-if we w-went s-somewhere else?"He said,kind of sounding worried, but you pushed it off.
"Jeremy it's fine we don't have to go anywhere."
"O-oh alright, I-if you ins-insist". He stammered, then hung up. With that you got up to get ready.

You dressed out of your work uniform and headed to the shower. Turning on the hot water you stripped and stepped in, the water melting away the stress you had from work. After that you went back to your room to get dressed. Picking out sweat shirt and a pair of jeans you put both on, because you were just gonna hang out at Jeremy's, right? You slapped on some makeup (or not, idk what your into) and left. You texted Jeremy to tell him your on your way and to get his address. It took a minuet for him to reply, but he did soon enough and you went on your way.

Finally you arrived to what was Jeremy's house. It wasn't the best looking place, it was small and looked a bit run down, but that didn't matter to you, Jeremy was your friend and that's all that mattered. You got out of your car, went up to the door and knocked a couple times. After a second he answered. His hair was a little messy and he wore a dark green turtle neck sweater.
"H-hi (y/n)" he stuttered. You waved and said hi back politely. He gestured for you to come in and then led you to his room. You both walked into the door, it creeping slightly, and gazed at the sight around you. His room was decent, it had a bed, a laptop laying on top, and sailor moon everywhere.

"wow Jeremy, you like sailor moon?" you questioned. he rubbed the side of his arm and looked to the ground, almost ashamed.

"I love sailor moon!" you exclaimed, throwing your arms in the air. After a while of you guys just doing whatever and just chilling, you heard a loud slam of the door down stairs. As soon as you were going to ask who was home Jeremy grabbed you by the arm and lead you to his closet, where he proceeded to franticly push you inside.

"Jeremy what th-" you were cut off by him closing the door and him shushing you. You did as instructed, worried what was going on. A couple minuets later his bedroom door flew open and in came a portly man, who you could distinctly smell alcohol reminating from. He came up to Jeremy and stood right were Jeremy was sitting in his bed.
"What are you doing?" His voice seared. Jeremy quivered, and looked to his fumbling hands.
"I-I-i" He kept stuttering. The man grabbed Jeremy's face and made him look him in the eye and began to mock him.
"I-I, what? Is that all you gots to say?!" He squeezed the poor boys face harder, casing him to squeal a bit. Your heart dropped watching this happen, you couldn't just sit here and watch this. With out even thinking you opened the closet door and stepped out.

"who the hell are you?" the gruff man asked.

"I could be asking the same thing" you said, crossing your arms. he chuckled a bit, making you confused.

"I'm Jeremy's dad, idiot." he sneared at you. You just gave a glare to him, waiting for him to make a move. He held a bottle in his hand, walking towards you, spilling some on Jeremy's sweater.
"Now I'll ask again, who are you?" He got close to your face, the smell of beer lingering in your nose.
"The names (y/n)." You growled, pushing him back away from you.

"Don't touch me girl, now get out of my house!" He yelled at you, clearly pissed you pushed him.
"Fine, come on Jeremy lets go." You signaled him to follow you, but he didn't move.
"Jeremy come on." You repeated.
"He ain't going anywhere." His 'dad' said. You walked past him to Jeremy  and grabbed his arm dragging him along. Jeremy didn't refuse, he was like a rag doll that just dragged behind you.
"Ehy, he stays here!" Hid dad barked causing you to flinch.
"No! Why the hell would I let him stay with you!" you said, pointing your finger towards him.

"because, where else is he going to go, hes not willing to just live in the streets." he came up to you and grabbed a hold of Jeremy's other arm, making him flinch.

"s-stop!' Jeremy whimpered out, but you both kept your grip on him, not wanting the other to take full hold of him. You wanted to let go, but you knew if you did his dad would pull him away and you were not leaving with Jeremy.

"he'll live with me" you stated, kicking him in the shin making him let go. In the moment you took that opportunity to grab Jeremy and run. You both ran to your car and hopped in, driving away from that hell hole.
