The horseless carriage took Teddy, Liam. and Eliza up the path to the castle. Even though it was already his final year at Hogwarts, seeing the school after a long time always took Teddy's breath away and gave him an overwhelming sense of home. When he got off the carriage, Teddy was greeted by Hagrid with a warm, breath sucking hug. He was about four heads taller than Teddy.

"Yer parents would be so proud," Hagrid sighed, "yer practically a grown man!" Hagrid ruffled Teddy's hair. "You really are yer mum and dad's son. You've caused more trouble in these halls than both yer parents did in their school years! And believe me, Teddy, Remus and Nymphadora were no  saints..."

This, of course, was no surprise. None of the Potter/Weasley clan were saints. The look on McGonagall's face during Teddy's first ever day at Hogwarts was the equivalent of the face Teddy made when he walked into Harry's aunt and uncle shagging when he was nine. Over time, Teddy could read between the lines that McGonagall liked him very much.

"Oi, Teddy," Professor Longbottom smiled warmly as he reached out to clasp Teddy's hand. "Oi, Professor," Teddy smirked back, "rest of your summer alright?"

"I was here preparing for the year," Professor Longbottom shrugged, "how's Victoire?"

"I actually haven't talked to her since the party. I was hoping to find her soon."

"Good for you, Teddy." Professor Longbottom's expression darkened slightly. "Teddy, I'm not pressuring you to go any further or backward with Victoire, but she's a lovely girl who's very close with your family. I would advise you to be careful during whatever relationship you want to pursue with her."

Teddy nodded. "Professor, but I've never had a real relationship. I've never fancied a long term relationship until now. I feel like I'll hurt her."

"But I know how good of a person you are and how much you can care for other people. If you really want to be with Victoire, you should try laying off the girls for a while. Teddy snorted, "so you want me to lay on the girls?"

"You know what I mean, Lupin. Try getting used to having your eyes on one girl. Do that before you try to ask Victoire out.  It'll be difficult for you, I know. I don't mean to offend you, Teddy; I care for you dearly. But girls have become sort of a habit for you. But you should try and focus of Victoire only. You'll see if you really like her. And if you can't stay with one girl, that's ok as well."Teddy nodded. Professor Longbottom always had such great advice. He would give what he said a try.

"Of course," Professor Longbottom grinned, "there's the subject of Victoires's parents; more specifically, her father."

Shit.

"Now, Bill loves his children and wants the best for them. Obviously he wouldn't want his children experiencing heartbreak. Then again, he knows you well. Thank her majesty, the Queen, he doesn't know you as well as your godfather, Ron, or I do." Professor Longbottom chuckled. "But you're a good person, I'm sure he-"

"Professor Longbottom!" Professor Slughorn called to him from the professor's table.

"Sorry,Teddy, I've got to go," Professor Longbottom looked guilty. "I promise we'll talk another time."

Teddy sat at the Hufflepuff table next to Liam. He looked down at his nails and two seconds later, they turned a matte shade of black. Professor McGonagall gave the annual welcoming speech. Teddy usually listened, but now he was preoccupied searching for Victoire at the Ravenclaw table. When he finally found her, again, he was smitten. He saw her just today, but how could he have forgotten how gorgeous she was?  Her cheek was resting on her  hand with light pink nails. Her eyes were focusing on McGonagall, and they had a hint of dreamy boredom. She noticed Teddy staring at her and immediately turned to face him.
